A late update with many pics. My wife and I were working a mile from here for a few months. We ate here at least 4 days a week and we tried quite a few different dishes and found some that we had to keep eating verses trying new ones. We couldn't get enough of the Kati Roll, Shahi curry, Pani Puri and Dehli Chaat, everything was great but those were our repeats. Lunch special at least once a week too. We still go but it's a bit far but worth the trip. read more

This place is really good. I've come here quite a few times and brought a decent amount of friends for the Indian food experience and Om bistro delivers this experience pretty well. Evenings can get pretty busy and a bit chaotic, but if you're patient, you'll be served with really good food. This time around we started off with the Bhelpuri and Gobi Manchurian. This has always been a crowd favorite for me and my friends especially when it's their first times trying it. For the main we split palak paneer and garlic naan which was super good. Their garlic naan is literally the best in the Phoenix Valley. The paneer was delicious, and I really liked the texture as it wasn't way too creamy or way too chunky, it was just perfectly done. Also not to forget to mention is the mango lassi, a nice and thick and well balanced sweetness with mango and yogurt tart flavor. The one downside that we had this evening was that they forgot our rice, and we didn't realize until the end of the meal and then did not ask because it was pretty chaotic with tons of people dining in actively getting orders. read more

The dhokla next to the cashier is smooshed in their trays and I had to make a pass on it because of the texture. Clean trays are recommended on the counter. Another instance of bad service .... Ordered dahi sev puri for my kids and specifically told them to make it mild. Still it was served super spicy. When I protested, they did not seem to care. Just told me to add some sweet chutney. The kids had a really bad experience. Then, I had ordered paneer butter masala to go, and when I reached home and opened the box, it was some kind of bhaji. They did not even bother to check if the order was correct. Lesson learnt: Quietly accept what they are serving or face their retaliation at your protest. Not sure if there are trained staff working there, or amateurs. Would have given negative stars, if there was option. read more

I hate giving a bad review but this place is not anywhere I would go again. I was the only one in the restaurant at lunch time and being a vegan asked what the V and S meant on the menu. The cashier wasnt able to answer ( or unwilling) and not wanting to leave I ordered some bread and a side. I really wanted a meal here but I couldnt get answers on them. This was my first trip here but after looking at the other reviews and seeing how bad service is I wont go back. There are a bunch of other Indian restaurants in the area. Updating my previous review. I really enjoy the food here but I cannot ignore the fact of how absolutely horrible their customer service is. Having been here a couple of times and liking their dosas, my recent experience here turned out to be a nightmare. Was there over the weekend, they had just opened. Waited for them to take our orders, ordered dosa, veg uttapam, and chai. Waited for half an hour, no food. Two other customers walked in after we got their food before us. Exactly waited for 40 mins to get the food on the table. In the mean time, while we waited, the server who took our order didn't care to attend us. He kept taking orders over the phone and passing delivery orders to customers who were there for pick up. As being the first customer to walk in their opening hours, and being the last one to be served food, I cannot express enough how frustrated I felt after the food came. The customer service sucks. I would give zero if I could. Never going back even though the dosas and chai are decent! read more

I've been looking for a good vegan-friendly Indian restaurant in the north valley, and OM fits the bill! It's 100% vegetarian, with vegan items clearly marked (except the desserts - those aren't labeled as vegan). The menu is vast - with both Norther and Southern Indian items. We ordered the veg samosa, veg jalfrazee and pav bhaji dosa. The samosa were average - nothing special. The did seem freshly made though. Both the tamarind and mint chutneys were excellent. The veg jalfrazee was our least favorite item. It had a bit of a sweet and sour taste to it, and was very spicy. It was cooked well, but just not to our liking. And note: curries don't come with rice (it's $2.50 extra). The pav bhaji dosa was the best we've had in town. The filling was flavorful and not too spicy. The tomato and coconut chutneys were also outstanding. It was large enough for me to take some home for a second meal. I will definitely go back and explore the dosa menu further! The negatives: It's counter serve, even though the price is as high, or higher, than some table-serve restaurants. The order counter area is often crowded because it takes awhile to review the whole menu and make decisions. It makes the restaurant feel chaotic - especially if you are trying to get past the counter to get your 5th refill of the tiny cups of water. Plus they call you for your items one-at-a-time, so there's a lot of up and down. It's best to sit near where they distribute the food (and bring your own water container). read more

The main problem with this restaurant are the associates who assist customers. I have seen multiple instances of customer fighting with the servers. And also personally experienced that they don't welcome any coupon/voucher whole heartedly. Their face will be frowned if you show any voucher, although management offers voucher on 'DiningAdvantage' to attract customers. Regarding the food - They are reasonably cheap and offer variety of indian snacks and vegetarian food. Not so great and authentic but not bad as well. OM did a wonderful job with our wedding. Due to our religious dietary restrictions, we had specific requests to make vegetarian food without Onion and Garlic. They were able to meet these requirements and deliver a great product for our guests. Kam and Deepa were great to work with from the start and showed great flexibility when we were selecting our menu. Throughout the planning phase, we changed the menu multiple times, and they were responsive to these changes and gave great suggestions of what they were able to provide us. During the weekend, they were on time and were set up well before the event started. They were both very organized, and we did not have to worry about them at all during our special weekend. After each event, many guests would come to us and tell us how much they loved the food, which is the best compliment one can get at a South Asian wedding. We highly recommend working with them, as they are the preferred caterer for many of the resorts in the Phoenix and Tucson area. read more

Flavors were good. Service was complete sh*t. They need some competent people behind the counter, not people who are lazy indifferent at best. I ordered my food to go and was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. I found a seat and watched as several to-go packages were placed out on the back counter between 10 and 20 minutes later. At the 20 minute mark, I went back up to the counter and ordered some sweets to-go, from the same guy who took my order. He never bothered to look behind him to see my food there. But at that time, I had no idea that it was actually mine. I figured it was Uber Eats, or some such thing. At that sime time, I also pointed out the water all over the floor from one of the coolers that was clearly having issues. I took the sweets and sat down again, waiting. He never bothered to clean up the water. As a matter of fact, he just disappeared and I never saw him again. At about the 35 minute mark, some guy came from out back and asked what I was doing there. I told him I was waiting for my order. That is when he checked the bags sitting behind him on the counter and asked what my order number was, which was "Table 17". He grabbed it and handed it to me. So I brought home my now soggy food. As I mentioned above, the flavors were good, but eating a plate of mush really sucks. Seriously guys, find some competent help. read more

We love this place! Our office orders from here almost every week. We enjoy the lunch special on Friday and their dosa is not only really yummy but huge (enough for two meals). We as a family are frequent visitors to OM. Love their ghee roast dosas, Pani puri and other chaat items. Tasty food.

Since it's the summer season, we came in the restaurant from 110 degrees outside to about 90 degrees humid weather inside. Complained to the staff about the AC and were told that the temperature has been set to the lowest setting. Looks like they charge a pretty high price for their food but are not concerned about the comfort of their customers. With such high heat inside all we asked for cold water and they forgot to put iced water in the water container. Had to remind them twice but still didn't get cold water. Staff was indifferent to us and inside ambiance was unbearable. Felt like eating hot food sitting inside the oven. If you truly want to have a true restaurant experience, it would probably be best to sit in the comfort of your own home and enjoy take out from another place than to bother with this place! We came here last night and it was absolutely delicious. I've seen a lot of negative reviews about the service, which I found to be just fine. They took our order and then we got our food, no problems. My husband and I both had the Paneer Tikka Masala which was SO GOOD. I got it spicy and it wasn't too hot. It was creamy and delicious, and the tofu(?) was very good. The vegetables in it were awesome and dipping garlic naan in it was great. We also got the mango lassi, which I would give a 4/5, but my husband would give it a 5/5. It was slightly too sweet for my taste but was still good. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at OM. A friend came from out of town and wanted Indian food. Someone recommend OM. The space is large a pretty. Everything looks clean and well organized. We got all food but there looked to be a huge variety of desserts available. They close int he middle of the day for a few hours. There are two specials. One is some curries, the other is a big flat pancake thing with some dips and a sweet little treat. I got that and it was fabulous. My friend also ordered us four dishes and some rice. It was all really good. Most had a really nice level of spice (I like a teeny bit). It was the kind of spice that feels good as it warms you but you don't regret later. We've been to this place a few times. One lady in particular is extremely rude. We got an uncooked dish, when asked politely she starting shouting loudly and said we can either eat or throw it.
