The tanks in the place have tons of fish in them. I asked to speak to a person that works there i was told he was on lunch, i waited for him. went asked if he was back from lunch girl named SKY said he is busy . The place was empty with no customers. I was told from my work place that a girl was fired because of medical issues yet she supplied a doctors note upon being hired. yet these 2 girls are so rude and and so unprofessional is putting it lightly, they should be the ones let go. Who are they to say what i can purchase. i have boughten my grandsons feeder fish from there for years. My grandson is autistic and this keeps him calm . I hope the worker who was fired for medical reason goes after these people A VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER what goes around comes around bad for business

I called in a few minutes ago reguarding false info on how to take care beta fish. Were told that…read moreplastic plants were good for it. Thats not the story at all. Do not put fake plastic plants in with the beta fish. The plastic plants rip and tear the fins for the little guys. Silk plants are far better then plastic. Also when i called the supervisor wanted to know who said it so they can be corrected. No, instead only correcting 1 person or the 2 that sold us the fish i think everybody needs to be trained on this not just 1 person that will last a week. Also if kids are doing the half ass work there then hire adults especially when working with animals. They barely know how to wipe there own ass let alone take care of animals.

A man who had 14 dogs seized in Abbotsford by the SPCA last September has now been formally charged…read morewith the mistreatment of his animals. Mel Gerling made his first appearance today (Monday) in Abbotsford provincial court, with co-accused Damara English and Patrick English, his former business partners. The three have been charged under the Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) with causing unnecesssary pain/suffering to an animal, and under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act with causing an animal to continue to be in distress. Marcie Moriarty, general manager of cruelty investigations with the BC SPCA, said the agency is "very pleased" that Crown counsel approved charges under both acts. "This is a long-standing case. We've received numerous complaints over the years about animals in this person's custody," she said. A conviction under the CCC charge is subject up to 18 months in prison, a $10,000 fine and a lifetime ban on owning animals. Moriarty said the SPCA would "absolutely" want to see the maximum penalties in this case, given its duration, the number of dogs involved and the fact the dogs were bred for profit. She said the 14 dogs - shih tzus, chihuahuas, pugs and terrier crosses - were spayed or neutered once they were taken by the SPCA, and all have been adopted out. The SPCA seized the animals from an Abbotsford property after what they say were repeated complaints about Gerling, a breeder who operated Mountain View Kennels and Puppy Paradise. They alleged that he was running a puppy mill - an operation that breeds dogs at high volume, placing profit before animal welfare. The agency said the animals were kept outdoors in two shelters that did not offer proper protection from the elements and suffered from a range of health issues, including badly matted fur, eye infections, dental disease and badly overgrown nails. Some of them also had luxating patellas - a hereditary condition in which the kneecap moves out of place. At the time, Gerling blamed the dogs' condition on the man whom he said he was paying to care for them while two new kennel buildings were being constructed in Maple Ridge. He said the man did not groom the dogs, and Gerling was making arrangements to have the animals moved to another location, but the SPCA showed up before he had an opportunity to do so. Gerling told The News in November that he had retired and sold his business to his partners Pat and Damara English, who renamed it Luna Kennels. It is not known whether Luna Kennels is still in operation. Numbers listed online for locations in Chilliwack and one in Abbotsford are not in service, and the website no longer exists. As a current owner how can you be allowed to continue after these allegations?

I have recently purchased 2 pups from MountainView/Puppy paradise. And I have to say that they were…read moreexcellent! They were thorough and informative and gave me all the information i could have ever needed. The puppies were very happy and friendly and very well socialized. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a puppy. I had seen a few bad reviews on them when i was doing my research, but it seemed to be alot of stuff about puppy mills and people wanting to see people go get a dog from the SPCA or rescues. Well not all of us want a rescue dog, and most of people will not be 'approved' to spend $300+ on someones unwanted problem. And good luck anyone with kids or renting with trying to get a dog. I even seen then send away an older couple and tell them they were too old!! And people think that breeders are the problem! Let me just say that that SPCA's kennelling practices are appalling compared to that of puppy paradise. Anyway, back to the point. I highly recomend Puppy Paradise to anyone looking for a well cared for high end breed, or hybrid dog. You will not find nicer and more informative people.
