This is a nonprofit located in West Olympia. They've been fundraising through the pandemic to keep…read moresome of their programs going. Recently I've been seeing GRuB volunteers in my neighborhood building free victory gardens for low income neighbors. The victory gardens are raised beds that include soil and plants provided by GRuB and paid with community donations. I was talking to some of the volunteers in passing. It turns out that each garden is 'worth' $1,000 if you're including materials, labor, and gas to transport. I'm very impressed with how many neighbors they've been able to help.

Completely in agreement with the other reviews. Grub is an excellent asset to the community. I…read morehave now been there four times for classes, both cooking and educational. The kitchen is well equipped and well labeled. There is a five burner cooktop in the center island which is ample enough to handle most cooking tasks. It is a multi-use facility that provides space for classes for the local schools and outdoor programs dealing with gardening. It something can be grown in this climate someone at Grub can give you pointers on how to best grow it. They have programs for veterans, school kids and home gardeners, as well as programs where a home gardener can get a raised bed for a reduced price, and in some cases for free. There are programs dealing with local, native plants as well as other types of gardening, composting and most anything to deal with pest control and how to utilize your harvest. Grub is community focused and you know it after spending a very short period of time there. Grub is the kind of asset that any community would be proud to have.

I am grateful I found her as an accupuncturist. i began seeing her for sleeping problems i have about three years back. after my first session with her, i slept like a baby. her accupuncture and chinese herbs are sure to help in any ailment you might have. I love the fact that she also teaches Chi Gong Yoga ( i might have spelled that incorrectly). i would recommened everyone and anyone to go see Susan.!!!!!

While we were staying in Olympia, I developed some pretty bad allergies, after all, WA and AZ are VERY different. My symptoms got so bad that I couldn't breathe through my nose at all. Not wanting to send me to a doctor and pump me full of synthetic and harmful drugs, the husband found out about Chinese Medicine, and that led us Susan Monaco. I decided to try out this Chinese Medicine stuff and I was feeling pretty positive because I know the powers of natural healing. I met with her for an herbal consultation and after a chat with me about my symptoms and my medical history along with a pulse check and a tongue check, I was on my way with a weeks worth of herbs to mix with hot water. I will not lie, these herbs were the nastiest things I have ever tasted. It was truly awful. However, after two weeks of using them I watched my allergy symptoms almost disappear. An herbal consultation will run you 35 dollars, cash or check, and the herbs, a week's worth, will cost between 15-20 dollars. They also have acupuncture available, but I did not partake in that procedure. If any of you Olympians are feeling not well and would like an alternative approach to your health care, do not hesitate to give Susan Monaco a call.
