I am recommending this business because I think refurbishing computers and equipment is a good…read moreidea. Also, the product I bought was reasonably priced and works fine. I wanted to get an extra wireless keyboard and mouse so I could have one at work and one at home and wouldn't have to carry them around. I asked about them in the store and was led to a plastic box that was filled with identical wireless keyboard mouse combos. I picked one out and asked where the chip was. This should have tipped off the clerk that I was not tech savvy. As I suspect many of there customers are not. She told me the toggle was under the mouse. I got the set home and did not see a toggle under the mouse (latter I found out she was saying dongle). I looked in the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and did not see it. I called the them and was told to check the battery chambers of both the keyboard and mouse and once again I didn't see it. I was told that this would be a once in a lifetime that a chip was not with the keyboard. I brought the unit in and we looked in the keyboard battery area next. Then we looked we looked at the mouse and they pointed out a built in dongle compartment in the battery chamber of the mouse. I was never told there could be a built in compartment when I was in the store or later on the phone. I have since find some YouTube videos that explain where to find the dongle. This tells me I'm not that only one to have trouble finding it.

I used to love RePC in Tukwila. That changed when I encountered a "know it all blowhard" whose sole…read moreintent was to make me leave the store with something whether it fit my needs or not. He did not even know enough to do that, but I had time to try something I could afford. After I inevitably returned the item (mismatched resolution of monitor and computer) to a Senior Associate, he asked me "was anything wrong with the item?". The jerk walks in before I can speak and says "NOTHING. HE JUST DIDN'T WANT IT". I explained it didn't fit the purpose. This is not the only place I see this trend of young associates being rude and obnoxious. Brick and Mortar stores close over things like this. If there's no Capital Investment firm to back RePC, they may follow suit of other companies soon. Too bad. Customer Service is the key to success, people. Hire better.

I dropped my cell phone on my new ThinkPad laptop screen and did what I thought was basically impossible-- destroyed the screen. Took it to Kevin, who I had ordered parts from before. He knew what to do, ordered the parts and you cannot even tell anything was repaired at all. Not a scratch or pry mark or anything. When I picked up my ThinkPad, I brought him my gore of another laptop (an rare type of the HP Envy 360) that had some major screen issues (dropped, half-repaired, manufacturing flaw, screen disconnecting, bent hinges). A little bit more of a challenge, but the guys there did not bat an eye. Got my little HP back in a week in a half, and it looked again, brand new-- could not even tell that they had basically replaced the entire half of my screen. Repair costs were all 100 percent reasonable, and Kevin is super up-front about costs and pricing. If something costs more than expected or they run into an unexpected issue, they will let you know asap. Outside of repairs, they also sell new and previously-owned retail, and all types of accessories, so if you are looking for a great local small business to support, this is the one. I one hundred percent will take my PCs and laptops no where else. These guys are trustworthy and great at what they do, and are honestly, providing a great service to our community. Thank you, PC Parts & Services!!!

A couple of days ago I was having trouble downloading videos and figured since it had been 3 years since they helped me with my laptop that was giving me problems, that the computer was running too slow. Andrew said he would look at it. He called me today and said the computer was fine. He also asked me to come in and he would help me with my problem with the website downloading the videos, it turned out to be a problem from servers, not my computer. So he helped me with a download issue as well as looking at the computer and did not charge me at all. What an honest owner and company. I will continue to recommend them and use them for all my computer needs, Thank you Andrew! Everything is working fine!

In addition to my original review, I had the experience of using the garbage/dump portion of the…read morewaste management facility today. After dropping off some household chemicals, motor oil, and antifreeze at the Hazohouse, I headed up to the garbage drop off. I was nervous at first because I thought it was going to be a huge process to drop off my stuff but you just drive in past the dog park and head up to the first weight station. Wait for your turn and then drive up to the booth and have your drivers license or ID ready. They will scan your ID and then give you a card with a barcode on it which you need to hold onto so you can show it at the booth at the exit. Then you wait for an open parking stall. Most people backed into the stalls because it's easier to push your refuse over the rails down into the dump container below. It's actually pretty organized. I thought it was going to be a huge landfill that you have to find a spot and where the least amount of trash is and toss your stuff. It wasn't like that at all. I had a Uhaul 10ft truck and I'm actually glad the rails that prevent you from failing into the container are there because they help you get the leverage you need to toss large objects without hurling yourself into the container as well. Still...be safe and don't toss with too much force and make sure your footing is good so you don't slip. Kids have to stay within your vehicle for safety reasons. They have a separate section for yard waste and large appliances, so look for the signage. I kind of hated to use the dump to toss my furniture but after calling Goodwill, Value Village, and Habitat for Humanity and all of them saying they weren't currently taking furniture or being too selective on what furniture they'd take, I decided to just get rid of it in one go. I'm glad I did because the process was easy. Once you're done tossing your junk, head to the exit, give the pay booth your barcode card and pay. The receipt they give you even shows your starting weight versus your ending weight so you know what you're paying for. $64 for two full U-Haul loads of furniture, trash, bedding, and household items. I felt that was reasonable and saved me a lot of time. I also found out that you can recycle styrofoam down by the Hazohouse along with all the other items I listed in my original review.
