You can always find the most eccentric and coolest things here. It ranges from strange chip flavors, to ramens, popcorn, crackers and some sweet options. I definitely left with a good variety of things to try. They even had a small German and Vietnamese section which I thought was cool. Outside of food they had out already Halloween decor, candles and other local goodies. They had a half off section of more snacks near check out so I also took advantage of that! Things are on the pricier end here but it's expected. Staff were friendly and assisted when I needed help finding something.

The place had an upscale vibe to it with better than your grocery store type of food offerings and products. World Market kind of, sort of, not really but sort of fills a little of that void. It also has a certain Bed Bath and Beyond feel, geez anyone else these once great pillars of our shopping experience are gone? Anyways, World Market has a lot inventory and items for the home chef, as well as some Hoby Lobby type enthusiast. This particular store is in a safe part of town with plenty of parking and is very clean. Walking in, I mentioned all the other examples that seem to have an influence on this retailer. So, if any of them fit your liking, well this is the place for you! The reason I was in the store is to get some rare pasta shapes. Quick aside, I love different pasta shapes b/c they literally taste different b/c how they hit the pallet. Don't believe me? As a former chef, tell me macaroni and spaghetti taste the same, they don't! Anyways I was purchasing some principesse pasta (think fettuccini with the lasagna frills on the side, splendid). It's cut with a bronze dye which means it gives a rough texture, perfect for holding sauces and gripping the tongue rather than sliding off. I also picked up some German egg noodles (mini-lasagna) which look like pappardelle with ruffles. Besides online, this is the only local store that carries the shapes. Ok pasta course is over. They have a wide selection of interesting chips, wines, coffees, Asian drinks and ramen noodles, specialty candies and more things that I don't have time to discuss. In other words, this place offers products that you've probably never consider, which really will enhance your life. If you're there, steer clear of the Lindl gourmet truffles unless you have a deal with the belt b/c they're so darn good. I highly advise taking a moment to scan their spices and oils section as well. My only draw back is I wish they had a refrigerated section. While there, they have an interesting kitchen utensils section as well as creative dinnerware, not like those huge cheap places which have no character but only corporate uniformity. I rather liked a lot of their dishes and could envision myself with my pinky up eating crumpets and sipping noon tea! Now they have some furniture and stuff but to be perfectly honest I had no interest in their offerings so I can't speak to quality, price or selection, but it's there if you want to take a looksie. Finally, they are holiday influences so lets say it's Christmas time, they'll have a good amount of space dedicated to things like reefs, lights, ornaments, you name it. I think it's refreshing to have options out there to offset the mainstream. As far as prices, they're a little higher with good reason, it's not the normally created stuff. But at least the option is out there. To wrap up, the employees are nice and ring you up quickly while joyfully answering questions. They have an inventory of items unlike many other places making it a unique shopping experience. Furthermore, it's clean and safe which provides for a laid-back shopping experience. Drop on by, but avoid the upscale candy isle, your hips will thank me!

A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Summerville, SC. Located in a safe albeit busy part of town this place will have, almost anything you need since it's a Super Target. They're aren't many people walking around so if you need something be prepared to "hunt." Finally the place is always clean and stocked so that's a huge bonus. As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Target, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, the supply is always needs a lot of washing. The baked and homemade food items are average but better than that other "blue" store! I've also found they're limited in toys as I tried to purchase some items for my kids but they only have the absolute most popular items. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you won't find it here, or at least anything new. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Other than those items, it's Target so you already know what you want.

The grocery sometimes can be a little lacking depending on the season I can't find certain things but they have a decent selection. I was returning some things this visit, it did take a bit longer of a wait given the holidays, but the gentleman that helped me was very nice and friendly despite the piles of returns surrounding him. Susan, the proprietor, was just the loveliest lady and a gracious host! Me and my friend felt welcomed by her and she helped us find what we were looking for. My friend is redecorating her house and wanted mid-century items and Susan was just a rock star, running around finding things she'd be interested in. She finally found a set of pastel 1950s dinner plates that were just perfect! They were almost 400.00 for the whole set, but was willing to hear my friend's counter-offer.
