The prices on those items were steep. Most of the larger household items like furniture or home maintenance essentials were visibly damaged. Lots of "ding and scratch" products. I wasn't very impressed with the prices, there were some bargains, yes. But plenty of the products were above the price point of other off price stores in the area. I also found a couple of health and beauty products that were labeled "not for sale in the USA" (see pictures) do with that what you may, but I was hesitant due to the uncertainty of the ingredients. Overall, if you're looking for an off-price store for various products, this would probably fit the bill. Is it the best? No. It's alright. It may be worth a look, but I'd recommend managing your expectations.

On 5/25, after contacting them several times and being told they had no idea where in the process our order was, we contacted Bassett directly and were told 1) our order was not even placed until 3/30 and 2) our order was not even in production yet. We were assured by Shauna at that time that if we did not cancel the order with them that we would have it in June. On 6/28, my husband went to the store and was told, again by Shauna, that they did not have the order but they could surely have it in July. Also, that they are moving, which was evident by the appearance of the showroom, but couldn't give out a forwarding address yet. He asked then that the order be cancelled and we be given a full refund. We will see if this company has any integrity, and returns our money after this debacle.

If you are ever in the market for a neat lamp, her husband makes them and they are amazing. All kinds of unique pieces turned into lamps. It's located on the side of the old Town Mall in Middletown, which is now basically empty. When I visited, it was lunchtime and when I was ready to checkout, only one cashier was working and the line was long. It was annoying to wait for customers to checkout and all they wanted to do was talk to the cashier about their day and what they were going to do for the remainder when all I wanted to do was check out and leave. But, that wasn't the store's problem. The Middletown location is definitely one of the most organized locations in the area.
