We found several Christmas presents, especially olive wood bowls and kitchen utensils. One item was an Olive bowl with small forks. Here is a picture of the bowl. As you see, no forks. The items were packed in our checked luggage and for some reason the airline took the forks out of the luggage. If anyone knows how to contact the store to see if we can purchase the forks, it would be appreciated. The forks had olive wood handles with metal forks. But the best was the lemon tart with a meringue topping. Very intense lemon flavor. Service was satisfactory but not real attentive as their was only one waiter for a dozen or so tables. Produce was fresh, and there was a good selection of regional cheeses. If you can get over to the local market (Les Halles), that's where you'll find amazing meats and cheese and chocolates (all a bit pricey), but Carrefour is quick and convenient. Bring or purchase bags to carry your stuff in. And remember ... eggs aren't in the refrigerated cases here. They've also got a decent selection of beer.
