Brittany is a fantastic dyslexia and reading specialist that is extremely professional and effective. We do all the sessions remotely, so it is also very convenient. We have made so much progress in the short time we've worked together and I'm so excited to share about it!  After struggling with dyslexia for my entire life, I am finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. I have learned more in the last 4 months of tutoring than I have in the last 20 years! I continue to be surprised and excited from all of the progress in each of our sessions. I used to feel extremely hopeless and depressed, which stemmed from my struggles with dyslexia, but now I'm looking forward to all that I can accomplish using the skills I'm learning with this program. I've failed in the past so many times, but now I really feel like I've found the solution I've always needed to be successful! I hope that others can find a solution that's as effective as I have found.  You can check out her website if you want to learn more at www.allstaracademyaz.com or by e-mailing her at www.allstaracademyaz.com or at 602-935-0868. In my experience, her communication is very prompt and she's super easy to work with.

My 3rd grade daughter has dyslexia and experienced self- esteem issues due to her difficulty learning to read. She uses the Barton Reading and Spelling System with my daughter...we've seen major results and are excited to see how much more she will achieve! Brittany did a thorough free consultation with us and helped us understand how dyslexia affects my daughter's learning because her brain is wired differently. She then explained the plan for her success and stayed consistent with it the entire duration we've worked with her. She took the time to assess her, talk to us, and has continued that through out the entire journey. Brittany is caring, passionate about what she does and punctual. Don't hesitate when you need a tutor!

Before moving to Arizona I didn't even know that educational advocates exist and now that we have Tamara I won't ever attend a meeting or make important decisions without her expertise. I equate it to going to court without your lawyer, she may as well be one with how knowledgeable she is. Tamara knows Arizona educational laws inside out, even more so than the SPED director in our district. If anyone at your school is dismissive of your child's needs or trying to intimidate you Tamara is going to be their worst nightmare. But seriously I am so thankful that we've got Tamara on our side. Don't hesitate, your child is worth it.

I encourage any parent who is struggling with their child's education to give Tamara a call!

The teachers, supervisors, techs and even the front-desk are absolutely wonderful-always smiling and positive and the classes are small, which I love because the kids are able to get so much attention and support that you could never get at public schools. Then they add in individual programs for the kids to work on after completing intake testing and it makes for such an incredible place that challenges each student to learn at their best ability while giving them great socialization at the same time. My son is able to learn preschool basics while also working through some of his behaviors. Just like at the SPBS clinic, the staff records all program data results in real time on their iPads so they can always track a child's progress and readjust when necessary. Even for my daughter, not only is she learning to read but the school worked with her outside OT to find out exercises and strategies that they could incorporate into her daily routine to help encourage the use of her right hand. They also have peer students to make sure that students have exposure to kids without any behavior or developmental issues. The students learn about different places each week, make fun crafts, have show and tell plus other various fun activities such as going to the park, playground games, yoga and obstacle courses. The school even works on skills such as sharing, taking turns, getting someone's attention, waiting, responding, table manners, etc. As a parent, you also are able to join ClassDojo to get pictures and videos of the kids working on things throughout the week, which makes my day to get to see. Lastly, they care so much about ensuring the success of their students that they voluntarily assist with their MET meetings and future placement. I only wish we could keep our kids here for longer!

Her experience as a teacher was paramount because she so obviously understood what was needed to reach our specific goals. She was so respectful and considerate in all of her communication and recommendations (and quick to respond always). I really felt like she came from a place of compassion and understanding and never a place of judgement. Beyond helping with the school situation, she spent time with our family to offer ideas and methods to help us with the behavior issues we were seeing at home. I really appreciated the graceful manner in which she integrated into our family dynamic - so that she could really see what was happening and offer realistic and helpful advice. Her services provided me with a sense that I have the emotional tools to be the best parent possible for our child. I'd recommend her in a heartbeat to any parent needing any advocacy help.
