Kais is a great night out! The drinks are reasonably priced the music is pretty good! The DJ's are…read morespot on in knowing how to please the punters. The atmosphere in Kais is relaxed everyone is there because they want to have a good time, i have never seen any trouble there at all. The only downside i have ever found to Kais is that the dance floor is too small and it can be difficult to get served at the bar as there never seems to be enough staff to cope with the amount of customers that they have in there. But on the whole i really like Kais, though i would imagine it is very different during the daytime and i have only ever been in there on a Saturday night! There is no entry fee to get into Kai's, they do hold regular events and offers so keep a look out for them! Kais also have a food menu but i have never eaten there so i am unable to comment on that. The staff always seem to enjoy working there and it really does create a good atmosphere which helps you to enjoy your night out. If you are planning on a night out in Louth i would highly reccommend stopping off at Kais for a drink or 2!!

Good food, nice atmosphere, family-friendly in the daytime and lively at night. However, I think…read morethe music choice could be improved upon, and the dance floor's a bit small! It's good that there are two bars, though, and the function room upstairs is excellent as well (they do full catering for functions and offer a disco). One particularly good feature of Kai's is the enclosed garden behind the conservatory, which makes al fresco eating very family-friendly in warm weather because the children are safe to run around. The conservatory is a particularly nice place to eat at any time of year because of its comfortable seating!

Updating my review - with actually no significant update. There's not really anything to improve…read more This restaurant is my favourite in Wells (in Norfolk, actually). The ingredients are local, the menu is seasonal and the daily specials are well considered, fresh and all-round delightful. Though I don't drink, I understand the gin (and tonic) selection to be incredible. Whilst definitely not the cheapest place to eat locally, it is more than reasonable with the fresh, local ingredients and the skill obviously put into making them. Most recently I visited and between three of us sampled (read: devoured) some cod cheek tempura, scallops with an avocado purée, sesame tempura prawns, fish & chips and a double-serving of seafood chowder. These were mainly daily specials and so I had requested earlier in the day that they didn't run out of chowder for me. It honestly is the best thing ever. Saying that - as much as I adore chowder - the cod cheeks are amongst the best dishes I have ever tasted. The food is seasoned perfectly. The fish is so well respected in terms of being just-done and the service is so friendly and familiar without being over-bearing. I would always ALWAYS recommend it here. (new photos attached)

Fresh locally caught fish & seafood, excellent quality and very good value - Lobster Sandwich with salad & kettle chips for £7, rollmops with salad for £6 (and too much to eat..) Lovely setting (if the weather is nice!) in a small courtyard behind the Golden Fleece pub, just off the harbour, a white building with blue tables and sheltered from the sea breeze.
