It's probably the largest collection of nurseries and garden centres in the country. It feeds my dreams of what I would do if I owned an acre or two. There's so much on offer from many of the specialist centres - whether your need is for a small shrub for a window box or your whole garden re-designed. You would need more than a day to visit all that Crews Hill has to offer. As well as nurseries, there are aquatic centres selling tropical fish and swimming pool and spa specialists. As with many gardens centres, they don't just sell flowers there are tons of items for the home: candles, ornaments, bric a brac etc. It really is a browsers delight and beware of impulse buying. I never thought I'd have need of a carved wooden elephant or a collection of painted pine cones, but those have been two of my recent purchases here. One day, I'll find a place to put them.

If you come down the road from the Enfield end, the very last garden centre on your left has a great cafe. On Sundays, they do hot roast beef rolls with horseradish that are to die for.

The pricing is a little bit less than rival DFS but the store layout is much more appealing. This shop does all types of sofas from corner units, to chaise loungers and you can choose the material you want in many occasions. The only reason I won't give this store five stars has to be the fact that when I walked in I saw no one. It was really bizarre but there wasn't a salesperson in sight.

Also, I've heard that 3 more London stores are to close soon. What happens to the deposits paid by customers? I know people lost money when the company closed after Christmas. Will this happen again? I feel dreadfully sorry for the staff too. All I can say is, don't leave a deposit, but pay the full amount only on delivery. Also, does anyone here know what happened at the Birmingham store which caused the company to be sold so quickly? What's going on with this company? Gary

This is a really nice garden centre located on the A1000 leading towards potters bar…read more It has a good sized car park and easy access in and out with pushchairs and wheelchairs. The garden centre itself stocks a huge range of plants, and garden accessories including lots of the more unusual type of plants. The prices can be a bit steep but then they always are in garden centres, they do sell a range of garden equipment to suit all budgets though. Inside there is a large section for gifts and there is a coffe bar/cafe.
