Delphi is hidden in a back alley but easy to find with a map app. It was a hot summer day. There was inside and outside seating. As it was already 2 pm, there were not many guests left. Some were sitting inside, some outside. We entered the venue and had to go all the way to the back to see any staff. I asked if we could sit anywhere, and we were told that they close at 3 pm. I knew that, although usually this means that you cannot enter after 3. Strange, especially for a restaurant with folks from that region. The whole staff was unusually unfriendly for a Greek place. Instead of the usual family like greeting and service, we had cold and dour waiters. The food was tasty though my pork souvlaki as well as my husband's pork steak was very tough. Also, the place does not take credit cards, only German debit cards, which was not uncommon 10 years ago but is rare these days.

The only think I didn't like were the potatoes. They were too greasy for my taste. However it's a fast food place after all. If you're a falafel lover it's a must try though. The Rhine was a hallmark of our German adventure so it seemed fitting to fair adieu to it over some traditional regional fare and beverages. My sister and I were looking for something different to have for dinner so we both selected something we hadn't heard of but when I did a quick google search learned it was a dumpling in a sort of stew. This one had a mushroom focus and all I can say is WOW. I can't remember the dishes name, but holy cow. We don't really do dumpling dishes like this in the states and it was really delicious. Both of us cleared our plates. I had one last German beer in Germany (spoiler alert they taste the same due to the rigorous brewing standards), and had one final glorious meal amongst friends. This spot would be great for a date or dinner with family. The only critique I have is that my drink order got lost in the shuffle but it was quickly remedied.
