I can't say enough great things about Ray and the Olive Tree Farm. I'm working on a home landscaping project on the Peninsula and had the opportunity to visit a number of nurseries and compare. Their selection is hands down the best in the State. It's worth the drive -- the Olive Tree Farm had the most extensive selection of beautiful, robust and healthy trees of all sizes, and their prices were extremely competitive. We were able to find a few large specimens we hadn't been able to otherwise source at a very reasonable price, but also, medium and smaller trees for a patio area that look incredible now that they are installed. Instant new landscape, like they've been there for years. We also found lemon trees and dwarf ollies that have added a lot to our project. Ray and his team are knowledgeable, super helpful, efficient and incredibly good at what they do. Our trees were installed within days of selecting them and the team on the ground could not have been more professional and easy to work with. It's obvious with every interaction that Ray and his guys enjoy what they do and that they care about doing a great job. I was floored by the careful and personal attention to detail. My husband and I purchased three lovely Swan Hill non-fruiting olive trees, and seven dwarf non-fruiting olive shrubs from the Olive Tree Farm in Sonoma, Ca. Our experience was top notch from beginning to end. We were welcomed into a beautiful compound with lovely olive plants of every variety. With the knowledge, experience and energy of one of the three brothers who own the farm, Rey, we were taken all around the site, able to select the exact three trees that appealed most to us. The Olive Tree Farm has customers making much larger purchases, but he dedicated his time and energy to us until we were fully satisfied with our choices. Rey committed to have a crew at our home a mere 2 days later. Today, 2 days after purchase, Rey's son and brother arrived with a planting crew that was knowledgeable, experienced and insightful, providing tips on positioning the trees in the way to best appreciate their multi-trunk structure. The trees and bushes were in beautiful condition when they arrived, and were planted with great care. We could not be happier or more grateful. We look forward to returning to the Olive Tree Farm to fulfill our landscaping vision and would recommend this wonderful business to all. read more

Although a bit more expensive than other reputable farms...and I did a lot of research, I highly recommend purchasing from the Olive Tree Farm. They were the only ones who could provide a 36" box tagged Swan Hill, which includes trees up to about 12' high (at least 3 times as tall and full as what I could find at local nurseries). And they delivered to my home in Sacramento! I could have purchased a 17' fruitless Swan Hill for about the same price at Ancient Olive Trees, but there was no way to get these larger trees into a back yard with limited access. The location of my tree is about 200 feet from the street, so a crane wasn't an option. Also note, some of these farms only deal with landscapers with a license. Once I found Olive Tree Farm, everything finally fell into place. I was able to visit the farm and select my tree. I chose to dig the hole myself to save a little money. I now have a beautiful, healthy, full, 9 foot tall Swan Hill. All the beauty of an olive tree, without the mess. Ray and Phil were so nice and very professional. All of their trees were beautiful. I just returned to the Olive Tree Farm for our 6th tree purchase from Rey and his brother over the last 15 years. We made it a family affair and brought the wife and two kids to help pick out our new tree for the front yard makeover. We bought 5 Swan Hill Olive trees back in 2015 from Rey. He is extremely professional and willing to do whatever it takes to take care of his customer. He has helped me to maintain my trees and answer all of my questions. I have gone back to his farm multiple times for products and he has always welcomed me in with open arms. It's a shame that someone would call him an opportunist.. Rey is definitely not that. He is passionate about what he does and tries to help people to understand the products out there so they do not make any mistakes. Can't stress enough how grateful I am for being able to get in contact with this company. I live in Texas, but Rey still managed to answer all my questions in a fast manner. His team traveled all the way from California to install the 88 trees I hand picked for my drive way. I have visited a vast amount of nurseries, but nothing compares to the quality of work and trees this company has. The team is very polite, well mannered and were flexible with my tight schedule. First of all, I have never been to The Olive Tree Farm. I wish I could stop by but they are too far from where I live, some 400 miles. When I have a problem with my olive trees and I call The Olive Tree Farm, they are always friendly, helpful and have even asked me to send photos so thay they can make a better diagnosis as to whet is going on. The know I will never be their customer but they still treat me as if I were their best. I actually feel bad that they give me all their support and I cannot give them anything except a good review on Yelp. The Olive Tree Farm has the best olive trees in California, there quality, of trees are superb and they are well recognized throughout the state. I've been to other nurseries, they don't compare the quality and disease-free trees any were, They are number 1. The Olive Tree Farm has been rewarded the highest reward by the California Department of Food and Agriculture. I put an order for about 5000 trees for my orchard in Santa Barbara Ca., in 2009 and my trees up until today are superb in a scenes that the trees are in very good, and healthy condition. This business is very professional. Drove over to our property (about two hours away) within two days of getting back to me. Ray walked my property and discussed the size, variety, and health of the trees that would need to be moved. Very professional team with a wide variety of selection. Due to a bark beetle infesting all our trees in our backyard, we needed immediate aid from a professional. Ray was patient and explained to me and my wife about the epidemic occurring around California with the bark beetle. We had tried various different chemicals but none had worked. We have two Kalamata olive trees that grew faster than I could handle. We harvest and cure the olives, so I wanted the trees pruned by experts. Olive Tree Farm's people showed up on time (or a little early) and listened to our concerns about the health of the trees and how much they should be pruned. They finished quickly, considering the size of the trees. They cleaned up thoroughly and didn't trample our neighbor's small plants, even though they had to cut back one tree that grown over the neighbor's property. I'd work with these guys again. Ray is a good communicator and very responsive. He seems knowledgeable about all things related to olive trees and their maintenance. Ray and his crew used equipment to raise and replant several olive trees on my property that were planted too deep and suffering from root rot and disease.
