We have showed up to reserve grass space for Easter in the past, once the grass was insanely wet and puddled in some areas but other than that it was really nice. Our most recent experience was renting the space for an event and that was the first huge disappointment. When we arrived for set up on a Sunday, the floor was absolutely filthy from the prior days event, there was food sitting and smeared on the ground, what looked like juice spilled so some areas were sticky, baby shower toys/trinkets and other small trash all over the place. One of the employees showed up to put out a sign that the space was reserved for us so that was nice and at that point we inquired about the cleaning and he said he would call to have someone come out. The person that came mentioned that did come and clear out trash and replenish the restrooms b it when we mentioned the floor they said that's not something they wash off for Sundays after a Saturday party (which is surprising if true but very disappointing g and gross). We asked if we could at least have a broom or if they had a leaf blower to at least get some of the food and trash blown off and he did. It was just unfortunate because we had already started set up by the time he showed up and started blowing the trash off. So just a heads up to inquire for your events about the cleaning of the floors and arrive early enough to find out if it needs cleaning because there was pasta and other food being stepped in and spread around during set up so that was a huge let down.

Even though it was pretty crowded, the baseball field was surprisingly empty. The park was peaceful, with a cozy feel. They also had half-court basketball courts, which were a nice bonus. The only downside was that the parking wasn't close to the baseball field, so we had to carry our gear a bit. I guess you could say we got our workout in before practice even started! Despite that, we had a great time. The park was a perfect spot for a family outing.

There are two play structures (one for little kids, one for big kids), plenty of benches (although the gazebo cover is missing so there's not a lot of shade). There's a decent bathroom and lots of grass to spread out. There's also a large sand volleyball court. I'm glad we found this park!

There were at least four well-lit tennis courts that were open until 10 PM, clean bathrooms, numerous eating areas, and a large track and field area in the back of the park. You are able to rent the area in 3hour increments so we rented the 8:00-11:00am time block as well as the noon-3:00pm time block. Depending on the season the prices vary in the city of Rancho Cucamonga. It's about $90/3 hours with hidden maintenance fees on top too. I think we get a better bang for our buck at the parks in Upland where you can pay by the hour and pick your own times too. Mountain View Park has a small parking lot with a football/soccer field, baseball field, a full court basketball court, a children's playground area and swing set and an exercise court around the perimeter of the park walk way. In addition to the large picnic shelter area, there are many small open picnic tables and barbecue areas that available on a first come first serve basis. The hexagon shaped shelter area gave us much room for creativity with our blue and yellow Minions themed party. The shade was really nice for our older relatives who doesn't love the sun. The kids loooooved the playground. There were swings and slides and some of the kids were just playing in the sand. I have a soft spot for parks with sand, instead of the nasty wood chips. One of my nephews brought his soccer ball and they were all over the large grass fields. We even had a pinata but these trees were too short. It was no challenge for these energy pumped kids. The kids had a blast and our party was a success, but I feel like this park it still far from a 5 star. It is definitely on the smaller side so a lot of the group was standing around or scattered to the nearby tables to make it work. I prefer it when the large picnic area is enough to fit the whole group, especially when the city is overcharging for the space.
