Had the fish, given a single piece. there was a big fried part attached not even enveloping the fish. It had some darker coloring on one side was a slight turn off -it'd be nice for it to be a nice pale fishy color throughout. Fries were overdone and hard and a bit cool. Beer was good. I regret even giving this place 1 star because they truly deserve none. I have never received such horrible costumer service as this place that actually left me speechless and with a terrible feeling in my stomach (not only from the food but from the treatment i got). Not once but twice have i been to this place, and I have observed numerous costumers getting bad treatment, so i know it's not just me. At my first visit the waiter got abnormally irritated at me for requesting something from the menu that was out of stock which i couldn't have known, and then an even worse attitude when i asked for recommendations. Not a good first impression but i let it slide. seated outside, beside us were a couple who then got scolded for adjusting the chair (which was a horrible broken seat) and i could go on. Second time was far worse when i ordered moules frites and couldnt possibly have fitted the empty mussel shells on the small plate under the bowl so i separated the two, simply to make it easier for the poor waiter to take away when the owner personally came up to my table and rudely waved his hand in my face, actually yelling "we don't do that here!!" And claimed i was "making a mess" keep in mind i am an adult woman and the tone he told me that would've been equivalent to how you would lecture a small child. I was simply trying to help the cleanup be easier, and i respect if i misjudged that decision, but a simple nicer request for me to keep the bowl on the plate would have been a lot more polite and not make me and everyone else in the restaurant extremely uncomfortable (which they visibly were, hence the very tight and not so spacious seating inside where everyone heard everything anyone was saying). Of course i paid for the food but left without finishing my meal, simply just embarrassed and disappointed. Cause god forbid i would make a mess in their 3 star bistro. I am usually not a complainer, but i am making this review in hopes that i can prevent other people from going home feeling sick to my stomach for being lectured by a grumpy old man with a gut-wrenching attitude. I would go into details about the food as well, but i don't think the fact that the "french" food was incredibly bland even matters, i think what matters is that you should be able to enjoy a meal without the judgement of a stranger with no regard to customer experience. Let me start by saying that often the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. This is absolutely true for Oli-Bistro. I went for dinner on a weekend night. It was super busy at all the places along the street, including Oli-Bistro. Still, the maître d' found room for us and we were seated and served with great efficiency and warmth. We got a bottle of the house wine and each of us had a three-course meal with entrée, main, and dessert/cheese. There's only two choices for each course. When I really think about the meal in its individual parts, it was pretty mediocre. The soup I had was probably the highlight. But it's hard to mess up potato soup. My main course of fish and rice was objectively quite dissapointing. The fish was bland, and the rice was a variety that was dark, chewy, and didn't match the fish at all. My dessert of a sort of apple maringue was light and simple, and definitely redeemed the meal overall. The house wine was...well, the best I can say about it is that it was red and had alcohol in it. Still, whatever small failings there were in food, I had a wonderful time at Oli. The service, ambiance, and general happy vibe of the place put me at ease and made the whole evening pass by enjoyably. I really hope other people will go and review. I'm a little perplexed by how much I liked this place given the actual quality of food. But this is my genuine reaction to Oli, and if it was my neighbourhood bistro, I would happily go again and again. read more

Very unpleasant experience with the service. The waiter/chef was rude. After I said no to drinks, he told us that "this is restaurant, if you don't order drink you should leave." Or something. I was shocked. WOW. We just felt really uncomfortable. The fish and chips was good tho. But the experience was ruined by his negative attitude. read more

Don't ever come by here. Besides the worst service I've ever received at a restaurant in Denmark from both multiple waiters and the owner himself, their way of running a business is a mystery to me, and let my explain why: there is only one menu every day which consist of a couple of choices for the starters, main courses and desserts, which actually is great, but the trouble with this way begins when you inform the waiter, that you will not be having wine with any of the course. Suddenly there is no mussels left for the starters, and you will have to go for the potato soup. Suddenly there is no rabbit left, and you will have to go with the steak. If you come here and don't order wine, you will consequently be refused any of the more expensive courses, even though you arrive early at night and all the order tables, which have ordered wine, are able to choose between the expensive and less expensive courses. To me this is not have a restaurant should be run and I will never reward this way of treating your costumers with any recommendations even though the food can be quite good. read more
