The food is pretty great, especially the burratta and the ribs, wine list is pretty good too but service is a bit of a let down. Was in with my Mum on a Friday night, round 7.30 - we bought the most expensive bottle of wine, did a round of antipasto, mains but when it came time for dessert (around 8pm) the woman we assumed owned the place said, "You can have a look at the dessert menu but you would have to eat very quickly because we need your table". Ok then :/ So what was otherwise a relatively pleasant experience was kind of embittered by a fairly rude ending. Sure this kind of roll over at Spice I Am where it's cheap, byo and amazing - be as rude as you want, but charging a la carte prices $50 wine, $35 mains) in a sit-down restaurant and then rolled over sucks. There are so many great experiences to be had on King St, this ain't one of them. read more
