Private, located in a beautiful community that also features horses. Excellent and a bit of a sleeper. Especially the second nine, I love most of this course. Fine variety, good conditioning, challenging without being forced onto the land. The 18th hole is very peculiar, quirky, but not in a good way. Zig-zaggy with a corner of trees off the tee requiring a hard fade followed by a pond-protected green tucked behind some foresty stuff and a pond, fairway sloping to pond. Intended I suppose to make you play it in three shots, but not in a fun way, no way to finish the round, a major mistake for what is otherwise an extremely fun to play golf course. Claustrophobic and congested where the rest of the course is not at all. The Par 5 11th is also one to tiptoe a bit, but it's a short five so it's less annoying in that manner. Since it is private, you'll need your professional to help you or get a reciprocal in the summer if you have friends who live at nearby courses who get that privilege. read more
