I got, among other…read morethings, a beautiful first edition of Hesse's Das Glasperlenspiel at a reasonable price, an early edition of Tieck, and a marvelous photo essay on Marlene Dietrich. The owner is obviously very knowledgeable and chooses his stock very carefully. He was very helpful to me despite my extremely limited German. I highly recommend this shop to anyone interested in German literature and history. A real find!

This multi level book shop with a cafe upstairs is nice. They have a decent selection of Books in…read moreEnglish, including new bestsellers and BookTok selections. They also carry some gorgeous stunning edition books with splayed edges (think Sarah J. Maas and other fantasy books) -- all in German. Upstairs, there's a beautiful selection of papery- journals, pens, stationary, etc. the staff was very friendly, spoke English, and meticulously re-shelved books. I can't give higher than 3 because the prices are truly outrageous.

(The stuff said if it's not the right book I can returun it ) After asking the teacher on the second day, which the class only need the book for lesson 1-6. So I came back to return it. The book was brand new. But I didn't get the refund , they gave me a 48.8chf gift card...... First stuff which I politely asked her the reason why can't I get the refund was such a bad attitude. There's also no paper documents to be shown that the bookstore have the rights to give the gift card instead of refund. And no one told the customers there will be no refund when they return the books even it's brand new . Kind of sucker . Totally not recommend it if you think you wanna return the books.

Really cute comic book store downstairs and record/art store upstairs. We stopped in here so my…read morepartner could get some fat caps to paint a small mural at a free wall, but we got so much more than we bargained for. There are comic books in mostly German but some in English and the entirety of the first floor is filled with them. You take a small spiral staircase up to the second floor which is filled with records, art, collectables, and spray paint products.
