This is my new local! I usually drink in Moseley or Kings Heath but have crossed the border to the Black country (where the pubs are the best let's be honest!). This is a 16th Century traditional honest pub. Cosy, snug, friendly - amazing red and green colour schemes that give it an intimate feel. Fabulous antique wooden bars, old photographs, paintings, mirrors, interesting obje which fits in with the age and decor without being naff or too much. Traditional menu (faggots, fish and chips, pies all well served and presented) at out-of-town-prices. A large wine (yes a large folks) is under £3.00!!! Came here as I am a fan of the Titanic and knew about Netherton (the anchor was built here) and was on my way through to Stourbridge and we decided to stop by and take a look at the monument. We have been back four times since. A little gem. read more
