Joe (the owner) is a pleasant Italian guy who has obviously been cutting hair for many years. I watched him cut carefully and chat away with his clients. My cutter was a nice young lass Catherine, who did a great job. She was methodical and carefully followed my instructions. I even got the old razor treatment for my back of neck. If you haven't heard of her before, she is an Australian hair icon who has been in the industry since forever and does fashion shows in Oz, London, Paris, NYC, you name it. She is well known in town for her skills as a colourist and funky hairstyles. My visit here was with guilt as I was cheating on my regular salon Oscar Oscar to try it out. The salon is on a backstreet of Paddington and the interior is as chic and posh as they come. The people both working and being treated there are also equally as stylish but the girls were really friendly (ok I was a bit surprised lol). I was taken upstairs to a quieter area in the terrace salon and the whole experience was all really pleasant. I admit my haircut wasn't ground-breaking, especially after the styling was washed out. However from the time I left the salon until the next day, my hair looked fab, straight out of a mag. So I might consider coming here for an up-style one day, but I'm sure I will be pay an arm and a leg for it. So I'm still not sure...
