Both satisfied! 3 years ago, my Mr and I got matching tattoos by Amber on our wrists. Loved it. Over the years, I've changed and thought the eye of Horus was not me. I wanted to get a cover up. I thought long and hard what I wanted. A couple of weeks ago I Sat with Andy to discuss my options and was very pleased with the finishing touches. I got a huge rose on my forearm. Was amazed with the shading and the details of the flower. Andy freehand the design on my arm and trusted it would look great. My Mr was very impressed with his work that he is in the process of getting an extended tattoo on his arm by Andy. The shop itself is very clean, bright and open. They take extra precautions of clean needles. Also they take their waiver seriously and make sure to give you instructions on how to care for your newly tattoo. Pricing is reasonable. I highly recommend you come here. They take pride in their work and do a great job.

I've been following Annie Bone on IG for a year now, that woman is an artist. With a background from DAAP and graphic design, she knows her way around most mediums. When her books opened up, I was so excited to try to get on her schedule. When you're considering White Whale, please pay close attention to each artist's "rules" when it comes to proposals. The website has some great advise for this as well. Most of them only open their books every so often and vet each piece before committing. Annie's light hand was much appreciated because I'm a total WUSS when it comes to tattoos. I have several but I really don't enjoy getting them. Annie was so kind, understanding and encouraging the whole time. She held conversation really well and seemed to care about me and my piece! This is the first time I've had a tegederm bandage and I really like it!! It's so much easier that being taped and bandaged up. If you have sensitive skin, be sure to mention this. I bruised up a little bit but Annie quickly corresponded with me and made sure the bruise was a "normal" one and that my tattoo/arm was healthy! Go to White Whale. Get a killer tattoo. No regrets.

White Whale artists book super fast, so we had to book months in advance when Emily's books finally opened. The shop itself is charmingly eccentric, and by far the most welcoming tattoo studio I've ever been to. Everyone there was personable and friendly, and Emily is the BEST. Not only does she create the most gorgeous artwork, but she's just a warm and radiant human. It was a joy to work with her and we were both so thrilled with what she created. If we still lived in Cincinnati, I think we would be frequent visitors. If you're looking to get a tattoo in the area - or if you're from out of town - White Whale is worth a visit!

After researching shops, I came across Designs by Dana and sent a message. Ryonen reached out to me within 24 hours and we discussed my request to replicate his paw print but I also wanted it to look "pixilated". She said she would be more than happy to work on this and we scheduled my appointment for after the New Year. The shop was clean, and Ryonen was very friendly and professional explaining every step and helped me decide where to place the tattoo. She was very patient when I asked her to slightly revise the initial pixilation of the template. I had a great experience with my first tattoo and am already thinking about what to do next as I will definitely be returning in the future for a second!

At that time I had a small horribly faded angel on my upper left breast that I needed covered. I wasn't in a rush though and took my time talking and researching artists/shops. I contacted him through Facebook messenger to set up a consultation. He promptly responded, which was awesome. We set up a date for me to come in for a face-to-face consultation. When I walked in, he greeted me with a friendly smile. His shop is more clean then some hospitals I've been to. Not only is it very well maintained, but it has cool art work, pieces of history, beautiful wall pieces, and more. It has an extremely welcoming vibe. So after our consultation, I knew even more I made the right choice and would be a repeat customer. My first piece was my horribly faded angel cover-up that's now a big beautifully detailed black and white owl. As a female, my cover-up was in an explicit spot. Dru never made me feel uncomfortable or gross (like some male artists have). He was one-hundred percent professional. Yet, still friendly and even comedic. We did 3 sessions. I am in love with it and get compliments anytime it can be seen. I then came back for my nipple piercings. Again, his shop was remarkably clean and he made me feel at ease. I'm so glad I did them! Next was a conch piercing. Same conditions :-) Me and my friend then came and got matching mini dinosaur tattoos. They turned out perfectly. So we came back again with our other friend and got the PPG!! I got Bubbles and she is the cutest tattoo I have. Since then Dru has tattooed a Unalome, a Namaste symbol, an angel, and another cover up. Also, he has pierced my Ashley and a couple more places in my ears. I highly recommend him if you're wanting a clean shop that gives perfect pieces. Me and my friends are definitely repeat clients for years now.
