I remember when this mall ( and the rest of the stores in Quebec) was closed on Sundays- The day of rest. The mall has an array of of chain shops from the US, Canada and Europe. A very interesting place to check out. The shops range from high end shops to practical dollar stores. This is a great place to spend a killer cold winter weekend day. I try hard not to make purchases here as the exchange rate is not strong as it was in the 90's.

Luigi Sciorio (originally from Italy) designs and makes his most beautiful bags by hand, and every bag is unique and a piece of art. His workshop is right there, at the store. I feel like I am wearing a piece of jewelry when I am carrying one of his bags. Many people notice - the bag looks much more expensive than it is. And I must note the bags are quite affordable for what they are, given that it is natural leather. The quality and attention to detail are amazing. Not in many places we can buy hand-made quality goods (any more). The store has other brands too, and wonderful wallets, travel bags, and umbrellas. What else can I say? This is an interesting place. With a name that translates to "wool mill" you would think it was a…read moreknitting store. You couldn't be more wrong. They do have a tiny shop that sells wool and knitted goods but most of their business is hosting weddings and other events on their beautiful property. There was one going on while we were there. When you arrive, there is a large parking lot. Once you leave the lot, you walk down steps to a real covered bridge. You walk along the pathway to the shop and ticket office. Along the way you will see a small enclosure with sheep and goats. A short distance away is the old mill that is now used for events, and the hiking trails. You can pay a fee of C$14.95 per person and walk the trails but we opted not to do that. Maybe some other time. When leaving, you drive over the covered bridge to get to Autoroute 55 and head back to Vermont.
