Hit up Once Upon A Child, of course! Not all Once Upon A Child locations are created equal, let me tell you. However, the Schererville OUAC is pretty awesome. There isn't an overwhelming amount of product here. However, the items available are quality items. Think clean. Think newish. Think about buying when you see it because said quality items get snapped up right quick. The Inglesina carriage I was not-so-secretly coveting showed up one day in almost new condition. Price tag? $200. Not bad when one considers that the same carriage combo retails anywhere between $600-$800. Of course, they have even more budget friendly stroller options, but I have this thing for prams (or at least, the most pram-like version I could afford). Also readily available are an entire line of Fisher Price's Snug-a-bunny items (swing, bouncy chair, rock and play) for a wee one's napping, vibrating, and swinging needs. The clothing sections are well marked and easy to navigate. Here is another area where I appreciate quality of quantity. Jam packed racks of sub-par and stained items? Not my thing. A good selection of clean and accurately labeled baby clothes? Yes, please. And thank you. Overall, the Schererville OUAC is a great little store for us mamas who want to stretch our dollars as far as possible. Hit them up and see for yourself. She was rude when she saw a baby in my hand and I asked here where the price was listed on a big jumper she says on the bottom and walks away... why thank you for your help. Instant goes to help and sweet talk a white couple that walk in. When I was paying for all the items she was being so rude I felt maybe this was because I'm not white. So if you're a POC I suggest going to other resell shops in the area instead of this one.

And dozens of suitcases of all colors! If you need luggage you will love the variety here. I'm working in the area this week and happened to see this store which is near my hotel. The furniture is very nice and extremely reasonably priced. I found a couple of couches that I would have considered purchasing IF I wasn't 3 hours from home and IF I was driving a truck. There were men's Land's End shoes for $5 a pair. A great deal! In fact everything I saw was a very good deal. I've never seen a store like this before. A fun place to shop! If I lived nearer I would stop in frequently! We definitely don't have a store like this in Carmel where I live. I'll add that everything was well organized and prices were clearly marked. Last Chance Overstock sells the things that didn't sell at other stores. It's the Island of Misfit Merchandise, if you will. (Will you?) My children had a fun time sitting in all of the chairs and couches around the store. A big portion of the store is dedicated to furniture, and the store-people are 100% OK with you and your children sitting on every couch and lying on every bed. My kids wanted to find the most comfortable couch, and they chose the one with plush corduroy that had cup holders and a USB plug. They wanted to buy it, but we live many miles away, and also, there is no way I'm inviting a couch with cupholders and a USB plug into my home. Get bent, kids. You need to look at the products carefully, because some of the things are a little worse for the wear. But for the most part, most of the items I saw at Last Chance looked perfectly fine. I wouldn't come here to find something specific, because inventory changes frequently, but this is a good place to browse and find a treasure.
