It carries brand names of maternity wear like Japanese Weekend, Glamour Mom, etc. and other items. I went here because this was the closest of its kind in the area where my cousin lives. I needed nursing bras. The owner, who is a lactation consultant, personally fits you for your size. I find that this is important because it's not right to just guess your nursing bra size. Anyway, there were a lot of cute stuff in the store both for moms and for children. At the time (Nov 2007), they were expanding their store to accommodate an area for different programs for moms. If you're a mom in the area seeking support groups for different issues, maybe you can go and check it out. Regarding SERVICE, there was a young employee (from Upstate NY) who was really nice and friendly. She introduced us to the Phil&Ted stroller and meticulously demonstrated how it works. If I was ready to buy one at that time, I would because she totally sold it! Sad to say, we were a bit turned off by the owner. She didn't seem to be too patient with kids. Sure, there was a play corner dedicated for kids of customers. But, my 2 yr. old daughter, who was so into dresses, started browsing some clothes for herself, too. She wasn't destroying them or anything but the owner approached us and in her words, told us to take the items from our daughter because they could get dirty. For someone who runs a motherhood store, she doesn't seem to be very good with kids. Also, we would be discerning with some of the professional info she gives out. We overheard her explain to a male customer that hospitals push moms to feed their babies formula. From my experience, that wasn't true. And my husband, who is a pediatrician, was also very disturbed by her statement.

I was initially very excited on finding this beautiful boutique to be able to buy Bella Materna…read morenursing bras, but right after I made my first purchase I realized that I had been outrageously overcharged for a "free size" bra that apparently I was paying more than double for because of the personalized "fitting" that I received! Store policy is final sale for all bras but when I brought the ridiculous price differential to their notice the following day, the owner was nice enough to issue me a store credit of the difference. After that I bought another nursing bra and used a coupon to get one free with that purchase. Even though I paid in full, I only got one since they didn't have another identical one in stock and it had to be ordered. At that point I got fitted again for a sleep bra and just didn't happen to like the very limited varieties that they had me try on, so I didn't buy any. Then randomly today out of the blue on a weekend (a day after) I receive a nasty phone call from the store owner Shari threatening that if I did not purchase a sleep bra from her store, she would not honor the coupon for the free nursing bra!!!!!! I don't even understand why she would mandate that when I had spent over a $150 dollars at her store already. I was totally appalled at how rude and hostile Shari was over the phone. I have shopped at other upscale bra salons in NYC and nowhere else except here have I encountered such extreme pressure to make a purchase! Wish I could give the business zero stars!!!!!

She promptly helped me to choose some appropriate gifts and then she wrapped them for me. While she was wrapping, I called the salon where I work and I asked the receptionist to get my appointment shampooed. Then I paid and was on my way. A couple of hours later, my receptionist comes in to my room and tells me that the girl from precious cargo called to see if there is a Dana that works here. Apparently when she was wrapping my gifts she left one of the items out. She called around to several different salons to find me, and then delivered the gift. She even added some extra ribbon so that I could open the wrapping and re-close it. I wish I knew her name because to say this gal went above and beyond is an understatement
