I've came to this place since I was a child pretty much my whole life I've came twice with my own children and they do nothing but stand over you and stare at you eat and drink I was probably asked if I wanted a refill over 20 times not even kidding and she started to get upset because my answer was still no they walk right up and start reaching over your food and again the worst part was all of the staff just watching us eat I was hoping someone else would walk in to break up the tension. Also the bathroom smells terrible you can smell it though the whole restaurant. We ordered the chicken fajitas and Plato Old Mexico which was a basic plate of all the goodies. Enchiladas, tacos, chili relleno etc. delicious. Not over seasoned. The food flavors cooked just right shone thru instead. We will be back. Absolutely wonderful. read more

I ordered the shredded chicken chimichanga, it comes with rice, beans, sour cream, and guacamole. The food is excellent, the portions are huge, and the prices are very reasonable. I would have tried this place sooner, but from the outside it looks closed down and not in business. I will definitely continue going and trying more items on the their menu. I like this place for what it is fast, cheap and close to home. I prefer to call in and pick up. I don't really enjoy eating inside because I have yet to get a friendly server out of the 5 or 6 times I have dined in over the past 2 years. They have an older gentleman that works in there and he is just down right rude. The food is always good and I have never had any problems with my order after I get it home. Came with my family to eat and ordered take out for my boyfriend. It was a charming environment, and very festive atmosphere! Service was friendly and Casual, I felt very welcomed. All three of the adults ordered chicken chimichangas which came with rice and beans and all the toppings. My son ordered his burrito special with fries instead of rice and beans with no problems. Food was piping hot and delicious! My Boyfriend really enjoyed his burrito after he got home too. Can't wait to go back with out our Family and try the Margaritas!! read more

Old Mexico - ordinary mexican food for a low price. I'd say that it's nothing to write home about, except that's kinda what we do here at Yelp. The food and service is average. That said, I will give them credit for three things: the food comes out pretty fast, the food is pretty inexpensive, and it is always consistent. Expect to see a lot of Air Force personnel (like myself) coming here on the weekdays for lunch due to the close proximity to Tyndall AFB. read more

I went and tried out this place today. It was my real first Mexican restaurant (Taco Bell, haha) since I've been here. I was with a couple of friends and when we sat down they gave us tortilla chips with salsa. I ordered a Mellow Yellow and I even pointed it out on the menu for the waiter then he brings me a coke... Obviously there is a language barrier somewhere here. For my meal I ordered a super burrito. The taste was decent but it wasn't over the top. It was pretty average to me but I liked it though. It costed me around $8.00ish for the meal which wasn't too bad. I'll be willing to come back here again sometime. ** Ate here again for the 2nd time. It still wasn't that great. Almost comparable to the first visit. In the end, I would rather eat Taco Bell instead. Tastes better and also cheaper. read more

I hate to give an establishment this low of a rating, but the staff is so rude! I signed up for yelp today to, hopefully, prevent anyone from having to experience it. The food was just your typical mexican fare. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. The whole experience was rather dull... until we went to pay our tab. My boyfriend has a problem with seriously over tipping (a week before this he tipped our hibachi servers 60% on a $100.00 tab) So, I pulled up the calculator on my phone to double check that I tipped at least 30%. Unbeknownst to me, my waitress was standing behind me as I did this. She didn't know that my boyfriend knows Spanish, so she started talking about how cheap I was. Then called me a particular part of In female anatomy. I already had $15.00 on the table. Which was very reasonable considering the service was subpar throughout. My boyfriend said some choice words to her in Spanish and we left. I didn't know the whole story until we were on our way home. What I don't understand is I already had a huge tip sitting on the table. She could see it. I'm sure she had her reasons for being so mean (bad day, mean customers, ect.) But, that is unacceptable. So, if you want really yummy mexican food in Panama City head downtown. On Harrison Ave. You'll find Maddies La Casita. The food there is MILES better!! And they don't treat you like a dog. Had lunch there today. Place was packed. The food was delicious as always but the service that's usually borderline at best was outright terrible today. Took forever to get our food, I get it, probably kitchens fault. No one ever checked back with us. No water refills(may have been part of the problem. When you order water wait staff think you're cheap).After several attempts to flag down a server, had to get up and get our own to go boxes. No ticket. When we went to pay no ticket up front either. Told the man at the register what we had but had to stand and wait while he flagged down our waiter and verified what I said. All the while not a smile or friendly face to be seen. I get it was busy. All the more reason to be a professional and step up your game. Just to let the waiter know that was why there was no tip. Just a side note for servers. What? No hot sauce on the table. What? The chip refills cost extra. What? The salsa is served out of a pitcher? Same choices you would expect from a standard Mexican restaurant at this price point except with sub par food. The term "I've had better" can be said for just about any food item here. The restaurant itself feels as though it is going to come down on you at any moment. The feeling of being rushed out as fast as possible was also a minus in my book. Generic mexican. Very not terrible though which was nice. The exterior is terrible. The location is terrible. It's on the long stretch between the base and PCB which is all just ugly Florida. Absolutely nothing special on the inside either. The service is very nice though. They all seemed laid back but they were fairly quick with whatever you asked for. The food was good. I had tacos al pastor with corn tortillas, which is a thing for me. I don't like flour tortillas. All mexican food is supposed to be served with corn tortillas. Went there for a late lunch and wanted to try something new. We were there around 2:30 so it wasn't real busy but the service really lacked. We had finished our chips and salsa and drinks before we had to finally flag the guy to come over and take our order. They got 4 out of 5 orders right but all in all the food was great tasting which really saves my rating for this place. I used to come here all the time as a kid but those days are long gone. We called to see what their hours were and they hung up on us multiple times. When we got there we waited 10 minutes to be greeted by a server then 3 different people tried to serve us. The food was soaking in oil and their guacamole was absolutely nasty.
