I have only been in this establishment a couple times, but every time has been a great experience! Today, Rob went above and beyond to help me figure out what I wanted to drink..he gave me suggestions and even walked me around to help me find a good mixer! At checkout the other guy working suggested a bigger size vodka that was on sale instead of the smaller size I was going to buy. I will definitely be back to Old Hickory Wine and Spirits.. the staff have always been super helpful and nice!! Good selection as well! read more

They had a decent selection, and the guy behind the counter was super helpful and friendly. My experience was soured by the fact that nobody was wearing masks (not uncommon in Nashville), but primarily because when I walked in, I gave a cheerful hello to the other employee (unmasked) who was near the door. He took one look at me and my masked face, fixed me with a glare, and silently looked away. I suggest you respect the rights and choices of your customers - and for what it's worth, I'm wearing my mask for you, dumbass. I'm fully vaccinated so I'll be fine. For those of us living in this area, you know how grateful we are when quality businesses locate here. Dillip (I think I am spelling that correctly) used to own the much smaller (and much closer to me) Lakewood Wine and Spirits, and although I have to drive further to his new store, I am so happy for him and for Old Hickory that he opened this new one. His selection is wonderful, and better than you will find for miles around. I know he tries to stock anything local and will go out of his way to find favorites for his local and loyal customers. The decor is tasteful and the store is laid out in an modern, easy to shop format. He arranges his wines logically, and I appreciate that he invested in a good array of fridges to stock cold white wines (I especially appreciate this during the summer!). He also holds wine tastings, but by freak of scheduling, I have not managed to attend one yet, so I cannot review them - however, I'm working on it. I love that he is trying to bring this element to Old Hickory, where it is wanted and needed. Don't I keep saying we are a community under-served? read more

Tucked away in a tiny strip mall in Old Hickory is this little nugget. For its small size, the selection is fair and better than most of my other choices in my neck of the woods. The biggest perk by far is that they have my go-to Cava of choice, Poema. I've only ever found it at Midtown and Frugal's so I am glad to not have to make a long trip when/if I need a bottle of bubbly. read more

I love this place.. It's the only store that carries Dark horse wine .. They also carry any brand that you normally can't find anywhere else. The prices are reasonable and the staff are great.. I went in there one day and they were allowing you to sample a new tequila .. It was awesome but I don't remember the name sorry lol if u live in the madison, rivergate, or hermitage area u must visit this place u will not be disappointed. read more

I love this place! The owner is really nice, and their stock is impressive considering it's little ole' Old Hickory. Admittedly, I don't know too much about wine selection, but I've been impressed with all I've been able to find. The layout is really nice.
