Refused refund reprimanded me for using DoorDash Response to owner: I absolutely did too request a refund and you refused. You directed me back to Door dash and they too refused to refund me. The folks here were just fabulous in putting together an amazing arrangement based on my request (I love hydrangeas), their stock (the blue variety was better looking than the purple that day) and expert eyes (just knowing what would look good together). When everything was totaled up, I was delighted that the *price point was lower* than the high-quality assortment of stems I received. My friend said the flowers were absolutely gorgeous and still looked fantastic over a week later. I was extremely satisfied and will definitely return! Oh my goodness. I need a last minute flower bouquet for my 5 year old niece who was graduating from Kindergarten! She love's purple, & pink as well as butterflies. I called first and the gentleman on the other end was so polite so I went down to the shop. I told the lady I had called and spoken with a gentleman, he came from the back and began showing me some different flowers. I have to admit I wasn't impressed with the selection, but placed my order because the customer service was great and they were helping me out. 2 days later I went to pick up my bouquet and was completely blown away. It was so BEAUTIFUL. The arrangement was simple but they brought it to life with pink and purple tissue paper and matching bow. I brought in a couple fake butterflies and they added them in. I have only had a few occasions where purchasing flowers for an event was a necessity, so I am no expert, but the folks at Olander are great. Recently, I was asked to send some flowers for a funeral. I needed a large arrangement to be delivered to an area church on a Saturday by 9:30 am. The florist doesn't open on Sat's until 9 am, by the way. By the time I was able to order, it was almost 11 pm; I didn't have much confidence that this would work out. I placed my online order, added a couple of very specific requests (including a personalized ribbon and drastic change in color of arrangement), and took my chances. How surprised and delighted I was to see every single request met in the form of a gorgeous piece. I had planned to call them first thing in the morning to verify the order but was unable to due to my schedule. As it turned out, that was unnecessary. If you are in need of a florist, give them a call. From what I remember (years ago, when I was purchasing my prom date's boutonniere) they have a few pre-made arrangements, but they're definitely able to help design custom pieces. What is great about them is their ability to accommodate last-minute orders and changes to their arrangements. Oftentimes, ordering flowers is indicative of a joyous event, but in some cases it isn't. It was nice to have this taken care of so professionally. read more

I received the worst service from this company. You would think delivering flowers to my deceased Godfathers family would be a pleasant experience. However, I had a very nasty and unpleasant conversation with an older female from this company. She told me that "the deceased service was May 1st, why am I buying flowers 11 days later". I was misinformed by a male in a previous conversation from the company that they simply needed the address to send the flowers. I was told by the female to go back online and cancel my order because they wouldn't ship to my requested location. The entire arrangement came through the funeral home in connection with the services. The website was still live when I made the purchase but they did but honor the purchase I made. I am in no way a negative person, nor do I give negativity to others. I simply made a purchase in an effort to honor those close to me in their time of bereavement. * they really deserve 0 stars from my experience but that option is not available. read more

Living in another state, I checked online reviews before choosing a florist to deliver flowers for my mom's memorial service in Harvey. Based on the 3 glowing reviews found here at Yelp, I chose Olander. I telephoned from home, spoke with a very polite woman, chose the arrangement, and closed the deal paying with my credit card. Fast forward to the day of the service scheduled for 3pm on a Saturday. Olander closed at 1pm but promised to deliver prior to closing. I arrived at 2:30 pm at the funeral home and the flowers were not there, had not been delivered, and Olander was now closed and not answering the phone. The folks at the funeral home knew the owner and how to get in touch with him. They called and the owner of Olander spoke with me by phone at about 3:15 and promised delivery in 20 minutes. He was apologetic. Caught up in my grief, it didn't occur to me to cancel the order (which I should have done since the service was mostly over by the time the flowers finally arrived). The arrangement was beautiful but unfortunately too little too late, the purpose for which they were intended now in the past. I recommend you follow up at least an hour prior to your requested time of delivery to ensure promises are met. Otherwise, like me, you may find that you've wasted your money! read more
