Wow , it's a typical basic neighborhood deli overall with good selection of beverages and tasty sandwiches but the bags of frozen dumplings was the main reason I made the visit . Lottery and the morning newspaper was also on my list . Nice folks behind the counter working and before I leave I figured out that getting egg whites on a plain bagel should be on my list as well. 4.5 stars on my yelp meter.

Minus charging me for the Big Boy Special which was more money than my breakfast sandwich choice, things went rather well. Clearly a breakfast driven deli area, there is a typical assortment of standard items. The salads, potato, egg, macaroni, tuna looked like they had been sitting a bit which I feel will keep me from trying a deli salad sandwich and a side. Service was extremely slow as the owner had no rhythm to taking orders, processing payment and moving to the next customer. She kept having to borrow the poor grill guys marker to label the sandwiches and coffees as I was buying for two. I'm sure future experiences will be much better, but my first experience was a touch of a mess.

I visited this deli three days ago, and unfortunately, my experience raised serious concerns about…read morecleanliness and food safety. I noticed flies inside the store near the food. While standing near the counter, I also observed the owner serving food without changing his gloves, eating from the serving tray while handling food, and coughing during food service. These observations left me concerned about the hygiene practices being followed and the risk of food contamination. Additionally, one of the older employees came across as consistently unfriendly, and I felt uncomfortable with the way he stared at my children. Based on my experience, I believe the deli needs to take its sanitation practices and customer service more seriously. I'm sharing this review to make other customers aware of what I personally observed. Please be cautious when deciding whether to purchase food here.

This place is my jam. Top notch NYC deli. I didn't even know how good I had it until I visited 5 or…read moreso delis within a few blocks of my girlfriend's place in South Brooklyn and found that none of them left their grill turned on after breakfast hours, and none of them offered hummus as a sandwich ingredient. OK, maybe I had a particular craving and my expectations were a little high, but that's my point - this place will raise your deli expectations. Chicken salad is bomb, philly cheese is bomb, cuban is bomb. Great variety. I eat here multiple times a week, mix it up a lot, and am never disappointed. 24 hours, so this place will take care of you from breakfast until drunk-grilled-cheese-time. Also, for what it's worth - beer selection is legit, they used to have an edge on prices for the nice stuff, but just raised a bunch of them so they're about what you'd expect in the area (unfortunately). My favorites are all about $13 a six - but they also have 12-packs of the cheap stuff for the same price or cheaper.
