There are trailer queen show cars and regular drivers. This is what makes me nutty about local car shows. You can wash, wax and detail your pride and joy for hours. Some yahoo will walk up and say, oh this car sucks. It has a rock chip on the bumper. Then you see the jerk drive off in a 2007 beat up Honda. Corvettes at Carlisle isn't like a local show. Its all about the love for America's sports car. The people there are looking to see Corvettes. Every model of Corvette starting in 1953 is at this show. Not only are there the cars but there are vendors! Vendors that sell everything under the sun for a Corvette is at this location. They have the best Corvette demonstrations, vendors and parts for your Corvette, find this place!

This was my first Corvettes at Carlisle and it was such a fun weekend with thousands of other Corvette owners! The event was filled with so many Vettes, every vendor imaginable from Edelbrock, Borla, Corsa, Hooker Headers, K&N, and more, GM Engineers presenting the new 2017 C7 Grand Sport, GM tech seminars, a burnout competition, parade through downtown Carlisle, and a bikini contest! If you were in search of a part for your car, classic or late model, this place had it! People had used parts to sell and trade, and manufacturers had special show pricing for tools, parts, and accessories. I picked up a K&N air filter for cheaper than any place I saw online! The Carlisle Fairgrounds is such a perfect venue for this event. There's plenty of clean bathrooms and food vendors galore! Prices were very reasonable too. It was a fun-filled weekend in the sun and I'm looking forward to going back next year!

In nearly all of the 5 classes I observed over 2 days, I saw both talent on the part of some of the youngsters and the intelligence and expertise in the teachers. They exude generosity and pride in passing down the art form they have dedicated themselves to since childhood. Though the founder/legendary teacher is no longer, her legacy seems to be thriving...God bless this worthy institution.
