Angela was our tech for our Cocker Spaniel ,Bandit tonight. He had a split dewclaw and she took him right back and took care of him and such kindness and efficiency. They have never failed us. We have taken our dogs there for years and they even helped us with one that had to cross over to the rainbow bridge.... They were so kind and respectful giving us all the time we needed saying our goodbyes with a follow up card mailed to us sending their condolences. I can't say enough good about every single experience we have had during stressful times with our fur babies!!! Don't hesitate to use them! FYI Pricing is fair as well.

Thank you Dr Pratt and Celeste ~ Love, Tim

I would highly recommend this hospital for the loving care given to your pet. I was referred to this hospital by my regular veterinarian for the care of my cat, Tim. Tim had a mass in his left nasal cavity that my regular vet did not have the tools/equipment to reach. On April 23 I brought Tim in for his consultation with Dr Pratt. Not only did Dr Pratt recognize the urgency for care of Tim, she moved her schedule around for the following day, April 24, to do the necessary procedure that Tim needed. I am so thankful for Dr Pratt and Celeste for the care they gave Tim Tim is home and healing nicely and was happy for the extra snuggles that Celeste gave him! ~ Jamie Martin

NOT a 24/HR Emergency Room. OVS says, "Our state-of-the-art emergency vet hospital is staffed 24/7 to ensure that your pet receives immediate attention in any crisis." When we arrived at 5 AM one recent morning, the lone doctor couldn't operate basic diagnostic tools such as an ultrasound machine. The ultrasound doc didn't report for work until my dog had been there for 5 hours, and the surgeon's shift started 9 hours after his admission. My dog died on the table after waiting 9 hours for care, not because OVS was busy but because their claim to be "fully staffed" is a misrepresentation and false claim. An emergency room is meant to provide immediate care in critical situations - not just pain relief until the experts clock in hours later. OVS can provide palliative care - pain meds and X-rays - but they do not provide what you picture via their misleading claims of 24/7 state-of-the-art care. This is not worth paying a premium for, nor does this type of over-promising, under-staffing provide good outcones for animals in distress.

Beware, this clinic is all about the $$$. No compassion for your pet or for you. Never met such a cold hearted clinic before.

Dr Kondos wouldn't refill her Simperica because she didn't prescribe it even though she was the one working. I work during the week and so my dog is going to go without protection all week and I will have to make another unnecessary appointment just for refills. What a horrible experience from this terrible doctor I got this response from Lisa R. Who seems to be a bot, because she has answered every review for over 10 years. I'm losing faith in Banfield. They should have consistent customer service. If you need a refill on maintenance meds that they prescribe, then their doctors should refill these routine meds. We are talking about routine flea, tick, heart worm medications that should be automatically refilled when your dog was just seen. Dr Kondos and Banfield are only trying to get more money out of you even if you've already paid for the monthly "wellness " plan that now costs me $60 every month Yes, Lisa R. Is a bot. She's now answering my review within 5 minutes at midnight. I'm going to call this location personally. What terrible service for someone that invests $60 a month. STAY AWAY FROM DR KINDOS and this location. She doesn't care about your pet. She is a corporate robot out to enrich herself and Banfield

We moved to Tulsa in December '23, with a 6 year old, Czech import German Shepherd that we'd had for a few months. She had been used for breeding, required a C-section, and was no longer useful to the breeder. As a rescue, the breeder was familiar with us (we own her daughter), so he contacted us and surrendered her to us. We had her thoroughly vetted when she arrived in Oklahoma. After a few weeks in our home we contacted our trainer and got her into training as soon as possible. She was sweet and a good member of our pack, but largely unsocialized. When we brought her home it was time to address the last step in preparing her for her new life in our home, having her spayed. We made an appointment with Dr Thomas. After anesthetizing her the doctor tried to call us to tell us that she had a spay scar. When we called him back we discussed the c-section scar and decided to wait a week or so and start over. When we picked her up we found that while he had her anesthetized, he decided to perform surgery on her eyelid for some small defect I had not even noticed and we had not approved. I wish I had seen the red flag. Two weeks later we dropped her off to be spayed. We called to see if she was ready to be picked up and were told to wait until five. I walked over to pick her up a little before five and immediately noticed that she looked unstable. Her gums were pale and I asked if I should run her to Oklahoma Veterinary Specialists. Dr Thomas said no, took her back into his office and started IV fluids. After wasting what turned out to be the last 30 minutes I had to save her, he sent us home with a vet tech carrying the IV bag. I helped the still unstable dog. When we got to the door the vet tech gave me the IV bag and we've never heard from them again. After observing her for a couple of minutes I put her in the car and raced to OVS, calling to let them know the situation and that we were headed their way. Dr Hodges, who has helped us many times in emergencies, stayed and waited for us, rushing us in when we arrived. He worked on her for another 30 minutes. She coded twice and was unable to be revived a second time. She died of blood loss from internal bleeding. Dr.Thomas or his office never called to see how she was. We filed a complaint with the State Board. Imagine the State Board of Veterinary Medicine being unresponsive in the State of Oklahoma. Would you expect anything else? If you love your pet, stay away from Dr Chet Thomas and City Veterinary Hospital at 36th and Peoria. I wish we had. We obviously live close by and every time I see that building I feel sad and angry all over again.

He was taken in for an unknown injury to his leg. The vet performed an exam and prescribed anti-inflammatory and laser treatment. I have never been in this clinic without being "sold" a laser treatment. He treated the injury as a sprained tendon. Turns out there was a flesh wound which became seriously infected only 3 days later while we were out of town. By the time our caretakers took him to a clinic which performs thorough exams it was too late. Dr. Bailey of Southwest Vet Hospital charged us for an exam and obviously botched it, but sure didn't miss out on the laser treatment upsell. After reaching out to Dr. Bailey to remedy our dissatisfaction, we have been ignored.
