I paid less there then than I did today. Hillcrest has bought the place and now the admission fee is $300, just to get in the door! The doctor and nurse were nice. But I spent less than 5 minutes with each, which hardly seems worth $300. Then the steroid shot I received was an additional $180. I spent $480 for a 5 minute chat, where the doctor couldn't say what caused my rash but gave me a shot. The receptionist was not rude but she wasn't warm either. I got a little upset when she said I owed an additional $180, & I stopped myself because I knew it wasn't her fault. But I don't have insurance. You know who usually doesn't have insurance? People who aren't working. Do you think that I have extra money just laying around to pay a doctor $300 for 5 minutes? We didn't sit on anything, or use anything, or contaminate anything. Now I get to choose between food and electricity, all while I get to pay interest fees over the next several months. I used to like this place because they were reasonably priced and offered discounts for the uninsured. Now it's part of the corporate machine that doesn't care about people, only profits. Way to go. You don't care about people anymore. I hope you are proud of yourself.

I only hedge because on two separate occasions, I went in and was misdiagnosed completely. Fortunately, both times were simple sinus infections or ear infections, and no real harm was done. Overall though, they're not one of my choice go to places for after hours care.

So I was in Oklahoma for a family event that concluded with church service together on Sunday…read moremorning. Afterwards while we were deciding where to go for lunch before hitting the highway this bear came out of nowhere and I had to fight it and got slightly wounded. Okay... so that's not exactly what happened. I fell hard on broken concrete, gashed my head and bled a lot. We went to AMC Urgent Care which is thankfully open on Sundays. I wasn't dizzzy, no headache, or head pain but there was a lot of blood. My arm and leg hurt more than my head did. Trystan, the PA who took care of me has excellent bedside manner, a sense of humor and pleasant professionalism. I was treated well and my family was entertaining the medical receptionist while I was being tended to. Their business hours, pricing and services were much needed and appreciated.

Body aches, sore throat, chills. He said my lymph nodes were swollen and to take a home covid test in a couple days. Thank God I have 2 nurses in my family who was surprised they did not do a flu and strep test as well. So I went to St John Urgent Care today, 08/06/2025. She looked at my throat and said let's do a strep test. Came back positive and she sent in the prescription for antibiotics. The lady who greets you and stays in contact about your loved one's condition is nothing more than a babysitter. She is very controlling and speaks to everyone in the waiting room like they are children. The person sitting at the sign in table should be remove. He should not be the very first person who greets patients and their family. He reminded me of a secretary for the Principal. The staff treats people like they might abandoned their loved one. In fact, this hospital reminds me of an animal shelter. Usually hospital staff is friendly, but not at Bailey's Medical Center in Owasso, Oklahoma.

My Dr. was not giving me much hope other than surgery, I saw Dr. Matt on FB & TT & thought I would see what his opinion was, he looked at my x-ray & said you don't need surgery, I can fix that! After a few months he did just that. Dr. Matt & his assistant Jessica treated me professionally, with kindness, empathy, & gave me a chance at a better quality of life all without back surgery. I cannot recommend them enough, they have truly changed my life.
