If you're road tripping anywhere near Porter, stop here. This is one of those places you read about…read morein "best hidden road trip stops" articles and it actually lives up to it. The Peach Barn is packed with specialty jars, fresh baked goods, and things you didn't know you needed. The pickles? The best I've ever had. So good I came home and ordered more of them on Amazon from the Amish Wedding company because I refused to run out. Grab more than one jar. Trust me. I also tried the salad dressings and baked goods and everything tasted fresh and high quality. The shop isn't huge but there is enough room for everyone shopping and plenty of nice staff around. Pro tip: sample what you can and buy more than you think you need. I under bought and regretted it immediately. This is a stock up every time you travel kind of stop.

They had so many peach themed things and Whole Foods that were grown locally. I genuinely love handmade and all natural food. They also had a menu and tables and chair so you could eat there as well. I felt like I was on a farm and I loved it! The service was also great! I was asked if needed help looking for anything! If I am ever passing through the small town of Porter, OK, I will definitely be stopping by again! Thank you PEACH BARN!

Firstly, everyone there was incredibly friendly! My dad and I brought my girls to pick peaches and…read morethey had a great time! Alexis at the stand in the front was super sweet and answered all the millions of questions my daughters asked with a smile on her face. There were so many peaches everywhere and they are sweet and juicy and taste great :) Overall I loved the feel of the place. They have so many different varieties of peaches (on rotation) and nectarines. They also house several bee hives which is beneficial for everything and everyone. Highly recommend checking them out this summer!

This is a really great experience if you've never done it! They drive you out to the orchard where…read morethey have numerous types of peaches and you just take your pick! They encouraged us to eat as we were picking which was fabulous! The pages are divine! Back at their little barn, they sell peach tea peach preserves, peach butter, jams and jellies. They also have beverages for sale if you would like an ice cream. They have different size bags and boxes that you can purchase. I think they run from six dollars to $35. I would recommend getting a box because it's just easier to carry. Those peaches get heavy! I would also recommend not wearing anything that you don't want to get dirty. I would wear boots or put some of those slip covers over your shoes because there are stickers. Also tall socks or jeans would be good because the stickers were getting in our legs. We went with a group and it appeared that everybody had a great time! We can't wait to go back

This delightful shop on Main Street in Shawnee has been around a long time, but I only discovered…read moreit recently - what a treasure! They are like an indoor, year-round farmers' market. Their farm is in Earlsboro and they also have a shop there. They offer their farm produce (veggies & fruit) as well as local meats, eggs, dairy (Marak Family Farms milk), honey, jams, salsa, pickles, spices, beans, rice, pasta, candies, coffee, tea and many other gourmet/specialty products. They have freshly prepared & frozen breads & desserts. The Earlsboro market has an in-house kitchen so prepares hot ready-to-go meals every Tues/Thurs (like green chile chicken soup & cheesy cornbread muffins, hamburger stew with jalapeno cornbread, loaded baked potato soup, chili, chicken & dumplings, indian tacos, etc). Call ahead to find out what's cooking and to place your order - meals are ready for pickup at 11 am. (the Main Street store has some of these meals available for sale but frozen only) You can also order whole pies! (pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato, chocolate, apple & coconut cream) Call either store any day to order for Thanksgiving! Crow's also offers many gift options - bakeware, cooking gadgets, serving dishes, dishtowels, coffee mugs, decorative items, etc. and most of these are Oklahoma-made. Both stores are open Mon-Sat, 9-6. Crow's Market brings their farm to you and is a small business that supports other small businesses. SHOP LOCAL!
