Her "heats" never bothered us, but recently seemed to bother her. So being new to the area, I made an appointment with HSCG due to their low cost spay/neuter program. Dr Weaver was absolutely wonderful and her concern for our old girl was touching. Turns out Patchez has a heart murmur so it was our decision whether to proceed with the procedure or not. We did. Dr Weaver phoned afterwards to let us know how Patchez was doing, and that she had an ovarian cyst and a nasty looking uterus. In my opinion, Dr Weaver went above and beyond to ensure us that we did the right thing and our beloved cat was going to be fine. Highly recommended!

It would be nice if they had an area where they let the dogs be with each other for at least part of the day.

The only reason I rate less than 5 stars is because once I found a cat that my neighbors abandoned (didn't realize until they cat showed up on my doorstep starving). I tried to find the guy a home, but I couldn't get anyone to take him. My dogs are not cat-friendly, so I couldn't keep him locked up in a bathroom forever. I took him to the Humane Society, and they were initially nice, but they quickly tried to "vet" me to see if I was just dropping off my own cat. It was very accusatory. However, they still took the cat. Of note, this IS a kill shelter.
