Okaya appears to be a recruiting agency. Whether it's legit, I'm not sure but I am certainly sure they are not serious. So far I have received messages from 5 people: Sachin Tyagi, Ashwini Kumar, Hemant Kumar, Shah Alam and Sunder Singh Raghav.
All of the jobs are far away and out of state but, at least, they correlate with what I do. For some reason, 3 of the emails for the recruiters are messed up. The links to their website are wrong. For some reason, 4 of them are either showing the wrong website or they point to the wrong website (www.okaya.io is wrong / www.okayainfo.com is the right one).
Hemant Kumar cannot spell so he wrote ("You're Job"/"You're Skills"). The guy needs a grammar book. Also, at the bottom of his email there are two signatures/logos/info sections where the email is correct but the website is wrong.
Shah Alam sent me a job description and the title of the email was this: "Full Time Position || Electrical Engineer (must have Electrical Design experience for Commercial Buildings likes - Hospitality, Airports, Amusement Park, Large Retail etc) || Cocoa, FL location".
An hour later he sent me another message that had this in the title of the email: "Full Time Position || Electrical Project Manager (must have Electrical Design experience for Commercial Buildings likes - Hospitality, Airports, Amusement Park, Large Retail etc) || Cocoa, FL location".
Really? Seriously? That's what the body of the email is for! Also "Full Time" doesn't mean anything aside from the fact is implies 8 hours a day. I don't know why but most recruiters can't just write "direct" or "permanent" which is the correct way to label the job.
Sunder Singh Raghav sent me 2 emails in a single minute. How did he do it? I have no clue. What I know is that it was another contract on the other side of the country. It was another instance of aiming in the darkness. The next day he sent another message (same job ... same content). He later sent another message and it was the same sort of thing, contract that requires relocation (preposterous).
Finally, let's conclude, Okaya's website sucks. I really don't like the way it's designed and it does not even show where the company is located. I assume they only have 1 location since all recruiters have the same address. I think this is a wanna-be professional company filled with Indian cheap recruiters that does not know what it's doing. Don't waste your time with these clowns. read more
