I went to a preliminary job interview for a job this company claimed be recruiting for. I spoke…read morewith Jessica Robinson and Tiffany. They were normal at first but then became extremely belligerent and obnoxious when I would not give them my social security number and personal references before I got to an interview let alone a job offer. I do not even think that this is legal and it's certainly not normal. Jessica Robinson turned into a lunatic once I refused to give my personal info and said this is not standard. Be careful with these recruiters. I'm just glad they never got my social.

This is a horrible company. I used to work for them for almost two and a half years. During that…read moretime span I've probably called out a number of 2-3 times. I have always showed up to my shifts and have never given a company a reason to complain about me. Recently I went to call out and got the voicemail for the first time since working there. I did not what to do so I obviously just left a message saying I couldn't attend a job about 3 days away; this was done in a sufficient way...or so I thought. I work 10 hour shifts at my other job 4 days out of the week and get home very tired so I didn't have the time or energy to call in and check if their employers know how to check an answering machine. I lost my car that same week so my life was hell. I received a call back a few days later from Tiffany and instead of asking me why (an employee who has NEVER no called/no showed or done anything like that) would suddenly do that. She didn't ask if anything was going and even after I told her that I left a voicemail she stated it's a 24 hour call service and I should of tried again. If it was 24 hour how the fuck did a get a voicemail in the first place??? She also got a nasty attitude and said "I'm just gonna take you off the next two shifts as well" and then hung up. A few days later I tried to log in and saw there was a problem. So I called and got the voicemail thing AGAIN so I thought I dialed the wrong number and tried to call two more times. Still got the voicemail until I received a call back from a stuttering woman who sounded confused every time she spoke. She advised me that I didn't need to call so much and that next time I could just leave a voicemail. I then told her me leaving a voicemail, like she just fucking recommended, is what lead to my (unknown at the moment) firing. She got all quiet and had nothing to say to that because they're not doing their jobs or something idk but I asked if i was fired since I was never properly notified and she told me I was fired for a NO CALL NO SHOW and then I told her I called and left a message and this stupid stuttering girl said "well it says no call no show" I just said thank you and hung up. I am so mad I have never anything bad to that company to be fired like that no questions asked. DISGUSTING

McIntyre is a really great staffing agency. They are very professional, and have a modern,…read morecorporate office space in Norwalk. By far the best of the staffing agencies in Fairfield County I have worked with. I am consistently pleased with my recruiter and her associates. I have been placed in 1 temp to perm position through McIntyre and multiple short term temporary assigments in the past two years (since I graduated from college and moved back to CT). First you would call to schedule an interview with McIntyre leaving 1-2 hours available. They administer diagnostic tests in Microsoft Office (Word, Powerpoint, Excel) which help them place you with a company thats a good fit. They have multiple branches- IT, administrative, and creative services. I am currently working with the administrative team. They always return my calls promptly and listen to my feedback about the offices I am placed at.

I contacted them and they had me come into the office, interviewed me extensively, and set me up on some good interviews. Although they did not end up finding me a position, I was impressed with their efforts and level of service. Years later, unhappy in my current job, I decided to look up McIntyre again as my previous experience had been so positive. I filled out the contact form on the website, explaining a bit about myself and my needs. I received a roboemail in return, suggesting that I register with them online. I set up an account and uploaded my resume. I received another roboemail acknowledging my registration and also saying someone would be contacting me. A week went by and I heard nothing. I decided to call them and see if they wanted to meet me. I was greeted by an automated phone system that had no options that applied to me. I decided to email them again. First I received the same roboemail suggesting I register. Then finally a real person responded. Her response simply said they had received my resume and would contact me if any openings matched my background. That was it? Their website has all sorts of happy talk about how you are more than just your resume to them and how they really want to get to you. I asked this person who emailed me if she wanted to meet me. I tried to be polite and reasonable asking if I should come in and discuss my goals and background. The response was dead silence. They never contacted me again. So much for me being more than just a resume. The whole experience was very disappointing and nothing like what I had experienced in the past. I would not recommend McIntyre now.
