First visit a solid 5 second visit a 4. First visit the manager, Don, took us on a tour of the grounds which was so helpful in enjoying the facilities later in the day. Meet D at the bar (after shooting) super friendly and you must ask for her old fashioned, worth a visit by itself! Such a fun place to shoot clay, the stands are kept up, everything in working order, challenging but not to much. Enjoyed shooting different set ups that I had not been introduced to prior; chandelles, trampoline, and wobble stand. Second visit stayed at the cabins, very good value. Also during the holiday and the staff at the gun shop seem chaotic. It's okay to slow down, I'd rather wait and have great service. Overall wonder experience and highly recommend! read more

I came here today to visit my son, who happens to be the Executive Chef. Before he came out of the kitchen we were warmly greeted by the hostess and quickly sat down. Drinks were quickly brought over and he was informed we were there. They offer several western themed offerings, the menu is centered around meat since they have cattle on the premises. The grounds are immaculate, I was very impressed with the cleanliness and manicured grounds. They have many clay stations for all shooters. Many brand new golf carts to drive around the property. I had never experienced shooting clay in my life until about a month ago, when a friend of mine (who teaches this sport) invited me to go with her and learn the basics. What a wonderful day I spent out there! The site has a "far west theme" and is located well outside the city of Okeechobee, in the middle of nowhere: despite this, as my friend told me, during the weekends it is so busy that you're basically stuck in traffic while going from station to station. Luckily, we had the opportunity to come here on a weekday and there were so few people that it seemed like you had the entire site just for yourself: besides being so peaceful, I could have a lot of time to practice without pressure. When we were done in the early afternoon we stopped at their bar for lunch: there is a medium sized dining room with a big and nice chimney, and an adjacent bar (which apparently used to be an outdoor patio until not long ago). The food was really good, but expensive: we spent about $60 for 2 sweet teas, 2 small hamburgers and a slice of (incredibly good) chocolate cake. Same for the shooting facility: we ended up with $100 less in our pockets just for half a day of shooting. I had a great time though, and I hope to go back again for more classes soon! read more

My hubby is a member at this gun club, and goes clay shooting here nearly every Sunday. It's a beautiful place, and he knows the staff by name. Our last stay was especially wonderful. We attended a special event - The Jupiter Light Lodge's Rabbit's Revenge, which is an annual Mason's event to raise money for The Hope Center for Autism. The event was perfect, the adorable cabins are immaculately clean, the food was top-notch, and the staff -as always- were friendly, efficient and professional. My favorite part, though, was sitting around the Friday night campfire listening to Scott play guitar and sing, under Eric's pleasant supervision. read more

Shooting gets 5 Stars! The rest is... interesting. It's a unique experience, and very apparent that you're very much in someone else's kingdom. The majority of the staff, though, was extremely friendly and hard working. The food was cowboy comfort food, with a decent drink menu. I was pleasantly surprised by my caprese salad. Chef used molecular gastronomy to create balsamic caviar creating bursts of flavor. I found myself searching for more fruits and vegetables on the menu, though. We stayed at the Boarding House, decorated with resin cowboy decor, oversized leather chairs, a cowhide and stone finishes. We had a simple private pool and views of the cattle pastures. I was not excited to pay $25 per hour to play pickle ball, so we didn't. TIPS FOR THE LADIES: *Bring hangers for your clothes. *Pack plenty of snacks, and breakfast food (especially if you want fresh fruit & vegetables - there's not a much of that). *Bring a lighted makeup mirror. It's dark and there isn't a lot of lighting or large mirrors in the home. *Bring a Bluetooth speaker if you'd like to listen to music by the pool. Amazing experience. The ranges were fantastic. I loved clays and the .22 plinking. The range officers - Mike, Chris and Eric - were all fantastic. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. My husband got a new shotgun for Christmas and we decided to make a date day at OK Corral to break it in. He has been there before for hand gun classes and loves the location. We have never been clay shooting before but figured it would be fun, plus I only shot a shotgun once. I didn't know if I could do a whole days worth of shooting at OK Corral. Turns out I could! We brought our own ammo and own guns. However you CAN rent a gun and buy ammo from OK Corral. I believe it was $29 for the golf cart but you can walk the course with a cart, it's just very large and spread out. There was 1-4 traps at each stop (usually 2) also you can keep score but since it was our first time we decided not to (next time for sure it's on) Between the 4 of us it took us about 3 hours to go through 400 rounds of ammo. Clays are charges as you pull them $0.50 per clay. Time flew by and we had a great time. It was much easier than I thought it was going to be. I didn't think I was going to get any. We are already making plans to return for Valentine's Day. We worked up an appetite so thankfully they have a great little place on site called "the hitching post" ***keep in mind you can't drink unless you are done shooting for the day*** The food was delicious and we had a couple of well deserved adult beverages read more

Be mindful of the 7 day cancellation policy if you are staying at the cabins! The cancellation policy was not on the email I received the day prior to my arrival. "Cancellation policy" was on the email but it was blank underneath the heading. Unfortunately, I needed to cancel and I wrongly assumed I would not be charged. I went through all of the steps to cancel and it appeared as though my credit card would not be charged. Lo and behold, morning after my canceled stay my credit card was charged the full amount. I spoke with the cabins manager and they are not willing to give a refund. The cabins look nice from the outside but I did not stay there. read more

He came to show us everything we needed to know literally A-Z I hit my first clay because of him he was fantastic and made our experience so fun and exciting he was awesome! I got certified here also with Chris and he was a straight bad ass they definitely got the right man for the job it was a great experience! we ate at the hitching post everything was perfect the food was so fresh very clean and beautiful everyone there was also so amazing they even surprised me with a delicious cheesecake and sang happy birthday it was unexpected and so sweet and beautiful the property is gorgeous and so well taken care of they had so many places to shoot with so much privacy which was awesome you can even do some fishing this place was just amazing. I was part of a large (230+) group that had a two-day conference and shooting event here. Wow! The grounds are simply gorgeous!! My small group of friends and I got there in the late afternoon to enjoy a cold drink and share some appetizers. It was all fantastic. Later that evening, we had a wonderful steak dinner in the dining room, as did many others in our large group. The steaks were super tender and incredibly flavorful! And my beer was icy cold! On Saturday morning, we descended upon the range early, early, early. The staff was there to give parking directions and answer other questions. They were super helpful and very polite! After a day of shooting and visiting various booths brought in by our organization, we all (all 230+) reconvened in the dining room for our banquet, -- catered by the kitchen staff -- music, and awards. The serving staff was very attentive and friendly the whole time. It was wonderful to have our organization welcomed by the OK Corral Gun Club and to be treated so well all weekend -- definitely a feat that speaks to great scheduling and management. Re the prime rib buffet...never again. Waitress asked if we would like a mimosa. We said sure because we thought it was included in the $45 price/person. Was not - $12 a piece. No rolls, no butter, salad was "wet", broccoli rabe and Brussels sprouts were burned. No mashed potatoes and gravy. The lobster Mac and cheese was very dry (hardly anything but macaroni). The peel and eat shrimp and the prime rib were good. That was the whole buffet. We have been long-time customers but won't do this again. read more

Such an awesome overall experience. Cabins are cute and clean. The lunch was surprisingly delicious. Probably the best pulled pork sandwich I've ever had. Ample perfectly cooked and seasoned pork in a yummy buttery toasted bun. We took a private pistol class with AJ. So highly recommended. I learned a ton and definitely improved my shooting game. Visited with a group of friends. We did the shooting clays course where you move from station to station. The whole complex is wonderfully designed with a lot of thought going into the landscaping and buildings. Each station is different and challenging. All in our group were very impressed with the layout. You can easily spend the day here with the on site restaurant. The staff were extremely helpful and professional. I been shooting there for the past 3 years with 6 other people every two weeks. Therefore we shoot about 1400 clays every month the 7 of us shoot. Today when to pay he said I shot 154 clays, I told him no way and that I only shot 95 shells and didn't have any show birds on my card. But Joe said I have to pay for the 154 clays that the card shows. That a**hole would not take my word or the word of my six friends that I only shot 95 clays. Therefore we will not be going back there, they will be losing the 16800 clays a year that we shoot there plus the lunch we have because they didn't take my word. All of this is because Joe wanted that $20 that I should not have paid plus we left with out having lunch. Therefore that $20 cost him over $100 for the 7 lunches we didn't have. read more

Our cabin was very nice! Beautifully decorated in a western theme without being over the top. Big props from an interior designer! Brunch was very good but $13 for a Bloody Mary was a bit much considering the food was $6 more. The skeet shooting was awesome with a fun little course with some exciting stations. Make sure to check out the 5 station! The staff was very affable especially Yaya, our Omelet chef, and Christina in the pro shop. There was a not-so-nice older blonde woman in reception that was a bit rude and made an unpleasant experience at breakfast. They website says the breakfast included a waffle station and pastries but there were none. When I asked about it she said she didn't serve waffles on weekdays. When I mentioned the website she proceeded to go into the little area by the breakfast bar and grab some batter. Wow. Why not just get some in the first place when we asked? I then got chastised for putting my finger on an old rotary phone simply pointing it out to my husband and she actually yelled at me for touching it like I was 5 instead of 55. She also put a father and child in the next room of our cabin when almost all the other cabins were empty. We were here for a romantic getaway and that would have surely put a damper on things. I spoke to the gentlemen and explained the situation and he kindly asked to be moved to give us a little more privacy but who does that?!? We travel extensively and I've never had anyone make me feel so unwelcome. Someone should have a chat with her about her lack "guest relations" skills. All in all a very cool destination close to home, we'll definitely be back (to shoot!)! read more

The shooting facility is impressive - no doubt about it. And for that, you will pay a premium. Management, customer service, conflict resolution skills ... not so impressive. I'm usually pretty tolerant of those with varying technical competency levels, but in my one experience here, I was exposed to dishonesty, misrepresentations and a complete absence [emphasis added] of management concern. To be specific, Shirley (believe she's the manager) admitted that she cancelled my dinner reservation, at the last minute, to accommodate a larger group. (So, to add to my wah wah story, my group travelled a couple hours to spend the day here for a birthday celebration. With dinner reservations in hand, confirmed only three days before our trip, we come to find out, upon arrival, that we got bumped for a better deal. When expressing our disgruntlement, seeking just a little sympathy, Shirley invited us to leave. When asked why she didn't call us in advance to let us know of the cancellation, she states, "I don't have time to do that, Could you imagine if I [she] had to do that for everyone.") Anyways, wah wah Shirley admitted she made a commitment to us, admitted she failed to let us know of this cancellation (revocation of contract), admitted the larger crowd provided greater income, and finally, admitted that she knew her cancellation, coupled with the failure to communicate said cancellation, likely created an undue hardship on me and my guests. But, the clearly established liability for breach of contract, and the accompanying damages, will be resolved in a venue outside of Yelp. For the reader of this review I simply offer you this: be ready to spend more than you expected, and should you anticipate having to interact with management, lower your expectations and prepare for an underwhelming display of leadership. We've have been members since we moved to Florida and really like the staff. The place is nice. But that's all changed. We decided to go shoot on Easter and we brought our own cart, like we've done before with no problem. We follow the signs posted for trailers, RVs and deliveries because the main entrance has a 10,000lb load limit covered bridge. Our truck alone is almost that, a one ton dually, diesel, 4 door.... It's a beast. And add a 5.5'x10' flatbed trailer and golf cart.... The bridge probably would collapse. So we get to the gate and call to get someone to unlock it because they hadn't unlocked it yet. They come unlock it and we start to drive in when the owner pulls up and asks us if we're to tall... My husband said no we're to heavy for your bridge. He gets mad and tells us we need to park down by the cabins next time and drive your cart down here. That's where we park trailers... All the time there's a sign behind his cart that says trailer parking pointing where we're going. He is rude about us parking up there. Acts like we're disgusting him for being there. We decide there's no need for him to treat us that way and I go in the clubhouse to speak with him. He tries to say we were parked in the wrong place and he was trying to get us to move to the right place. He then proceeded to tell 3 men standing there, who wasn't involved in this situation at all, that I was parked in the wrong place and he made me move. I told him he better tell the f#$_$ truth. He just walked off. Never saying a word to me nor my husband. We spend anywhere from $200-$400/ week just to shoot.. that's not counting buying ammo from them and he can't, or won't, be a man enough to talk to me about a problem I have. Just beware if you see the old man, the owner, out on his golf cart. Even his former employees say he's the reason they left. We have requested a refund on our membership dues, which we had just renewed, doubt we'll ever get a dime back. But we won't be back there and we won't recommend his business to anyone we know. We loaded up and drove to another sporting clays club, paid our membership and went shooting. People shouldn't be treated with such disrespect read more
