They worked on a one-hundred-year-old red maple and a one-hundred-year-old hackberry tree in my yard. The red maple was particularly challenging in that it grows in a narrow area between my home and my neighbor's house, and a large portion of the canopy was resting on my neighbor's roof. I watched as they strategized each move to remove the branches that were resting on my neighbor's house while preserving as much of the canopy as possible. The cuts were beautifully made, and unlike other tree companies that just prune, this crew is always conscious of holistically pruning to keep the tree healthy. They also expertly installed three cables in the red maple. The whole crew is well trained in safety techniques, and they take no shortcuts. They took the time to ease each pruned limb down to the ground with extreme care, never hitting my home, my neighbor's home, or the suspended wires in the area. They left my yard in immaculate condition. You can count on a detailed estimate with prices that are more than fair and excellent communication throughout. I can't tell you how many tree care companies I have hired over the years since I have been the volunteer caretaker of the 7-acre Mt. Here are the facts: my car was parked alongside the grass that was mowed by the Wimberg team. My car was intact prior to arriving at my mother's - a little before 9am. She lives on a side street in Hyde Park, so not a high traffic area at all. It was a Wednesday morning. The Wimberg mowing team arrived shorty after I got to my mother's to mow the front lawn - both by the street and the house. After the team left, my car window was shattered with a long scratch along the side of my car. As shown, something was dragged along my car to create the scratch across my side car. This was the side right next to the lawn that was mowed. I asked the Wimberg team to do the right thing. I understand accidents happen, but I was refused. I filed a police report as well. The police noted this did not seem like a random break in as nothing was taken from the inside. Just hope it doesn't happen to anyone else getting serviced by them. As a company, you have the choice to do the right thing even when no one is watching. That's how an ethical business should be run.
