This is a very nice, but expensive, restaurant. I'm not a…read moremeat eater, but they have meals for everyone. This is the sort of place to go for special occasions. There is a "fine dining" competitor in the same fourth street walk, which is a very amiable area, just two blocks of cobblestone, with a lot of shops. The competitor is geared more for the meat eaters IMO, and this one more for everyone. There are other eateries, and Huntingburg is a very amiable place for tourists. Dubois County is noted for being a place where people place high value on being good hosts, and that is reflected in the diners. I've only been there once, because this is a "special occasion" restaurant. I was with a lot of relatives. I had a wild caught salmon dish that was excellent. We also had wine. Very nice experience. It is fine dining, though.

We started off with the lightly steamed oysters and it was really good. It came out with a sauce on top of it and I liked it a lot. It wasn't too spicy and I felt the spice level was just perfect for me. The seasoning was also pretty good. It was pretty well seasoned and they didn't overdue it with the seasoning. The seafood was cooked perfectly. It wasn't overcooked or anything like that. In all, I had a pretty good experience and will probably be back if I'm ever in the area.
