Not a tacky DJ by any means, which was something we were trying to avoid. We were very pleased. The bad; I spent a lot of time making multiple playlists to give insight to the kind of music we wanted played and to make the job easy to be frank. As I reflect on the night I feel like maybe 10-20% of the music I suggested actually got played, which was disappointing. I think the DJ didn't trust me that the people would like it.. but who knows all the people at my wedding better than me! Anyways... preferences aside I feel like the music played was popular stuff. The vibe was just very vanilla. In addition, Russ had another DJ playing the music. It wasn't Russ himself. Felt like he was teaching someone on the job. Although to his credit Russ was over his should the entire night. All in all, I felt like I spent a lot of money for someone to just run the aux for me. I don't think the art of DJ'ing was really there; in my opinion that is largely mixing songs with seamless and unique transitions and also figuring out what the crowd in responding to and catering to their tastes. Again, Russ and team were kind, professional, and met my every request. But my honest opinion is that I didn't 100% get the experience I thought I was spending the money on here!
