Our tour guide, Chase, was extremely friendly and knowledgable on both the town of Savannah and the science behind all of the subject matters we discussed related to the supernatural. Highly recommend this company to anyone interested in something more than just a history tour.

I really can't say enough about Kathy and her All About Savannah tours! My wife and I visited…read moreSavannah on the first and second days of our honeymoon and absolutely fell in love with the city. The first day, we went it alone...relying on travel sites and peer reviews to help us hack our way through the city. On day two, however, Kathy to the rescue! She picked us up right at our B&B and whisked us away on a tour of Savannah. Kathy is a veritable treasure trove of local history and Savannahian trivia. And I don't mean that she delivers a well-rehearsed, 35-minute, trolley-esque monologue. Kathy really knows her stuff. She answered every question we had with encyclopedic accuracy and made sure we were really taking in the local flavor. We started in the Bonaventure Cemetery which, as odd as it is to say, is one of the most beautiful places we visited. Rife with architectural and stonework wonders, the cemetery was a great backdrop for Kathy as she presented some of the multicolored past of Savannah - from its early Jewish settlers, to its role in the civil war, to its place in the Southern cotton plantation aristocracy, to its publicized, modern-day scandal and cinematic artistry. I won't spoil all the surprises Kathy has in-store for you. But suffice it to say we will definitely be making a trip back; and soon. We feel as if we really made a great friend in Savannah. We can't wait to take another tour!

The tour is offered several times a day. You select the day and time in advance with your reservation. It lasts about an hour and fifteen minutes or so. Your pick up/departure point is from the Sugar Shack. There's convenient free parking in the gravel lot next to the building. Jac (Jacqueline) was our tour guide and she is a well qualified history educator and member of the local historical society. She uses a microphone and can be heard by anywhere in the open air tram. And you can easily ask any questions you may have. We learned a lot about Tybee island's history. And explored the north side of the island -- the "historic" portion. Many of the former Fort's walled batteries and buildings are now residential homes, vacation rentals, and businesses. There were a number of stops enroute and times where we could get off the tram and stretch. Plus she took photos of us when we stopped by the lighthouse (the tallest in Georgia). This is not your typical sight seeing tour. But an educational overview offering a timeline of the development -- residential and touristic -- of the island. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We had signed up for the "drag queen pub crawl" through "The American Tour Company". The tour was scheduled for Saturday, March 16 from 7:30-9:30 pm. (Tour confirmation number 213334114). We showed up just before 7:00 at the designated meeting spot (117 Whitaker). We wait until nearly 8:00 pm. No one shows to do the tour. I tried calling the number on the confirmation (833.644.8687); it makes a loud screechy noise and then says "this call cannot be completed as dialed". I also emailed the email address included on the confirmation and have not received a response (heather@ahappyguide.com). After we returned back to our condo at Hilton Head and did a lot of dogging online, we found the tour had been "rescheduled" for 5:00 pm. We received no email or no phone call regarding the rescheduled tour. Even if we had, a 5:00 tour would not have worked with our travel plans. You can't just Willy nilly change a scheduled tour time by more than 2 hours...who does that?!?! We have requested a refund from the tour company (through the email noted earlier), but I fully anticipate we will not be issued a refund. Savannah visitors deserve better. I have reported this incident to the Better Business Bureau, the Savannah Convention and Visitors Office and the Savannah Chamber of Commerce. I plan to call the Savannah permitting office on Monday and file a complaint with them as well. I want a full refund, but honestly I don't expect I will ever receive any contact back from this company for this tour. Stay away from this tour and this company. Completely disreputable!

After getting past their technical glitches (online booking not being current and telephone to make…read morereservations being out-of-service), we booked our reservation for the Foody Tour of Savannah, one of the tours offered by Savannah Movie Tours. We were picked up at the Visitors Center and boarded a nice, comfortable, clean, climate-controlled bus. Our tour guide, Ron, was excellent. He was very informative, comical, and really knew Savannah. (Afterwards, we discovered that he's the President and CEO of the company!) We stopped at several locations on the tour and sampled a variety of foods. Included in our tour (although each may vary) were Mom & Nikki's (smothered shrimp), Harris Baking Co. (pecan pastries), Polk's Produce (tomato sandwiches and BBQ), Angel's BBQ (duh...BBQ), the Paris Market (frozen hot chocolate...mmmm....), Savannah Bee Company (honey and honeycomb(!) samplings), Wright Square Cafe (chocolates and truffles), and, finally, Paula Dean's Lady & Sons restaurant for a sampling of one item from their buffet. All of the samples were delicious, although I was a bit chocolated out! Along the way, we got a great history of the restaurants, including the city of Savannah. I'd definitely recommend it at the beginning of a visit to Savannah so you know where you'd like to return to during your stay. It's like a city tour and lunch rolled into one.

We had Julie as our tour guide and she was very pleasant and non rushed during the tour and gave us excellent information. With two stops along the way at the Savannah Theater and Leopold's Ice cream where we had time to meet the owner and indulge in some of the best ice cream around, we both clearly enjoyed our time on this tour, and I wouldn't hesitate to go again or refer someone to take it. Well worth the money.
