I tried their Blueberry matcha drink and it was delicious. I could taste the original classic green matcha flavour with an added more modern take, which was the addition of the blueberries to it. Subtle blueberry but it still made this smoothie-ish drink more unique and yummy. The vanilla pistachio cupcake was pretty tasty too. It was also well blended and an uncommon flavor which was absolutely pleasant. This little cafe is very cute. Not a lot of room for a big group to gather but it's a nice hangout for a couple of friends.

However, I was less than impressed with the lavender honey latte, they might have forgotten to add the lavender... BUT the staff is super friendly, and I was able to pick up some "made in Canada" candles and tea! Next time I'm there, maybe I'll try a simple coffee to compare

They serve all types of freshly baked breads and pastries. I was here for the cinnamon rolls which have gotten high recommendations from friends. Fresh from the oven, they were pillowy soft with just enough sweetness added. The whole wheat cinnamon rolls were popular that day as I had to wait for the next batch as I ordered. Service was super friendly and the staff looked liked they enjoyed their work as you can watch them make the breads.

Their are some unique flavors too like Toffee salted caramel and more etc. The Red Velvet cupcake was tasty and the Peanut Butter Cup one was decent. Then I also tried the Mini Eggs flavored Macaroon and the center was kind of hard so it was just okay. I absolutely loved the Raspberry Coconut Macaroon though because the filling in the center was softer and creamier. Then we ordered Earl Gray Tea Lattes and they were enjoyable. This place is a community favorite. It's a small place but they have a lot of heart. A lot of people order wedding cakes and other desserts for their parties here.

The vanilla cupcake kind of tasted like cornbread with filling? But overall good, just different. The staff was super friendly though and I went on a weird day because I think they're closing down? Overall, I'd go back again but definitely try something else :)

Not much into doughy pastries but the cakes I saw seemed very well coated with icing. The cupcakes were normal sized and the flavours were common. I tried the Oreo cupcake and Tiramisu cupcake and the Oreo cupcake was sweet and chocolat-ey. Average taste for chocolate nothing extraordinary about the taste but it was appetizing. The Tiramisu cupcake was kind of fresh tasting, a bit bland, not really sweet but not not sweet. The bread cake part was yummy. It didn't taste like the Italian Tiramisu dessert but it wasn't unappealing. The lady at the counter was nice.

The Skinny: texturally perfect challah = heaven with just the right sweetness, their tea biscuits…read moreare great too although some of their other breads are just okay (3.5) service: it's counter service (3) value: around $3.50-ish with tax for a loaf of their great challah... not bad (3). Okay, let me start by saying this. Their challah is the bomb. Perfectly executed, the slightly dense loaf has a nice eggy flavour with just the right amount of sweetness. It's not buttery like Chinese styled egg bread but it's lighter. It was love at first bite and I just couldn't stop - gobbling up three large slices smeared with butter. Oh yeah baby - this is carb porn for me. [feel free to insert cheesy music here] Next comes the delicious tea biscuits. Nice buttery flaky tea biscuits with raisins are yum! Toasted with a little bit of jam/butter, it's a luxurious afternoon treat with some tea. I've tried the other breads - raisin, cinnamon roll and whole wheat. The raisin bread had a nice texture but was a little dry. The cinnamon roll bread is a very sticky sweet loaf and the white bread just doesn't hold up. The whole wheat loaf is a decent loaf of bread - denser than your standard grocery loaf but not substantial enough. I'll admit - I haven't tried their gluten free products but they have a large variety. Butter tarts, brownies, bread... they've got it all. Overall, if it was just the challah and tea biscuits alone, this would be a 4 starred review. But because of the not-so great white breads and whole wheat loaf, this place rates a 3.5 starred review.

It's a small-batch artisan bakery produces old-world style bread and bakery products baked fresh daily on a wood-fired brick oven. I haven't tried their breads yet but it's made with wild yeast (traditional sourdough leaven) and has no additives or preservatives. Baguettes and sour doughs adorn this place. Croissants will be coming soon but aren't on the menu at the moment. They sell cookies, scones, danishes, tortes, whole cakes can be ordered and even sandwiches to go. The shop is tiny but beautiful - I'm a sucker for bakeries. Now I will warn you that the prices are kinda steep compared to other bakeries around the city (at least for the items I purchased). I was very intrigued by their heavy cream dark chocolate scone that went for a whopping $4.25 - yes, that's for one normal sized scone. Now, I was hoping to hate it since it was so pricey but it was really delicious. The dark chocolate did not overwhelm the scone. The scone had a lovely taste and was at the perfect moisture level. It was really good but that price is hard to justify for me. Also tried a peach danish with some custard filling for $5 - this was not a flakey danish but more like a soft bread bun style, which I liked but my sister preferred a more flakey danish. The filling was very well balanced and not overly sweet but once again at $5, it was a bit steep. They sell a variety of cookies and the one that caught my attention was the milk chocolate chip cookie with pretzels and potato chips ($1.75 each). This was a soft but dense cookie that was sweet from the milk chocolate and while I didn't get a lot of pretzel and chips, the latter items provided a bit of texture to the typical cookie. Service is incredibly friendly here and despite the higher than expected prices I will be visiting them again and trying other items. It's a quality product and everything I tasted was good. They are open Wed-Fri 10 am- 6 pm and Sat 9 am- 5 pm.
