I was having an overly eventful morning. A lot of things planned were falling into chaos. I was in a pinch and far from home. Due to covid19, issues arose that were unforeseen. As I walk into the print shop- here comes Sean to the rescue. Not only was he accommodating and sincere, but he kept me company through the whole deal. I had a lot to do but the fellowship between the co-workers made me see what a great community they have. I strongly recommend this place. They are willing to work with you and do the job. A simple issue consistent service. Twice this week I went to the print service in store to make business cards and Saturday. A process of uploading the artwork to the website was fine. The first batch I did 100 and the cost was $8.90. I using the same template but a different name came back Saturday and asked for cards. 50 would be good but if 100 was cheaper go ahead. Came back and 50 were printed and the bill was over $13.00. I talked to the young man serving and asked showing him my bill from the previous day why a $5 difference for less cards. He said he was not sure on the computer how to price them and they were not tied into my account. I said even the website is not that high. He insisted that he didn't know what to do charged my card for the larger amount and went to the next customer To management train your people get consistent and recognize customers don't like being ripped off like this the only reason the review gets 3 is the product was accurate and delivered as asked read more

If you need a quick fix for a computer William is the guy to see. He works so quickly running down software problems he felt guilty charging us and twice did not. If you need a laptop or a computer William will find the one to fit your needs without trying to sell you the highest priced one on the shelf. Went into Office Max yesterday to buy a cable to connect my tablet to my TV. I found what I needed without any of the employees offering to help me. The item did not have a price on it and it was the only one that fit my needs so I grabbed it and went to the register. That's when I found out it was nearly $50!! Certainly won't be shopping at Office Max for anything like this again. I could have and should have gone to Walmart or Radio Shack. Worst of all the cashier didn't say thank you. I just paid his salary for the day with one 2 minute transaction and he didn't have the decency to say thank you. That is just wrong!!! read more

I just moved here and am very happy with the Kerrville office max. I am greeted every time I walk through the doors and within a minute I am asked if I am finding everything okay. the sales personnel are attentive and competent. most of these critical reviews are old and things have obviously improved...actually thinking about applying for one of their vacant positions. read more

I'm a CEO, tried to buy a new office desk and hutch for a new store location. 1st shipment was rescheduled once, arrived badly beaten up, hutch for the desk was the wrong piece. That was a week ago... I still don't have a desk... I've been promised calls from upper management, replacements for the bad shipment, refunds of all costs to my business for the goofs.... So far OfficeMax/Office Depot has all the furniture and the companies money and the store still has no desk and we've spent over $379 just paying wages to receive this furniture multiple times!!! My company will never do business with either of these companies again and will advertise our experience widely. Now I know how you earned 2 stars for your ratings... has definitely been one of the worst purchase decisions in this companies history. read more

I have been to other Officemax stores and they have staff that will help you find what you are looking for and understand your needs. Absolutely incompetent teenage staff. The cashier could not turn off the witty banter in his his Garth Brooks style headset long enough to pay attention to my purchase. He took great time to inspect that my $5 bill was not counterfeit, but shortchanged me by a dollar. He proceeded to argue that "math is not my my strong suit". He still refused to refund my dollar even after I went through the transaction on a calculator, with his manager standing over. Worse, the manager seemed paralyzed to help. I eventually told them to keep the dollar, lose a customer. read more

They had a special offer today: "Purchase a new printer and get a $50 credit for your old one". I specifically asked whether this would apply to any printer and I was told yes. So I drove home, picked up my old printer, gave it to the guys who accepted it and took a new printer to the checkout. The checkout guy told me he would apply the $50 credit and charged my credit card. Then I looked at the receipt and the numbers didn't match up, there was no credit. He was equally puzzled and he and his colleagues fiddled around for about 15 minutes at the cash register until they found out the credit would not apply to my printer. So I wasted a whole hour based on false information for nothing. During the whole transaction there was no eye contact, smile or even an apology. They were just talking over my head like "shall we just give him the credit, we still make $200" and similar. This is not only the most incompetent but also unfriendly customer service I have experienced in a long time. read more

The staff here make this store. They are so helpful, knowledgeable - and patient! I bought several items which had to be returned because they didn't fit in my home office, and they cheerfully helped me unload them and gave me a refund. They explained MaxPerks which gives me a discount on future purchases -- it pays off! And, they will match prices if you find it cheaper on their internet site. Great job! read more
