When I walked in, I wasn't initially greeted but when I needed assistance, the employee was more that helpful. I have been the store in Gastonia and although they had one in stock, it is currently being used as decoration. I didn't want to purchase the item that way. So I took to the website and explored online. I spoke to the employee who showed me where the item was in the store. I asked about any coupons that were available but she directed me to make an online purchase and use its coupon. I was able to get 20% off online. I walked around the mall as the order was being transferred to this location. When I came back, around 45 minutes later, the item was ready for me to pick up. The only issue I had was the employee, who was not my original SA, did not check my order number or ID to make sure it was me. She just asked that I sign for it and it was all mine. I thought there may have been some additional precautions to pick up the item, but there wasn't any. Anyone could have come up and said that item was theirs and walk out with it.

Ooh! My first mistake was not setting a firm spending limit when I go to Roses!…read more It's not sales that get me; because there are no sales. It's the allure of their goods, but the comedown is hard! Courtesy of their ridiculously long lines. Every visit seems to bring a new associate in training, making me seriously question their turnover--a telling sign of potential worker issues. Despite these perpetual staffing puzzles, my cart inevitably overflows with products for my coily hair and laundry detergents--two of my weaknesses. So it's a regular Thursday, and $124.00 later, I write this. Skip ROSES for fashion. But come for home essentials at a low cost. I've been a customer for over seven years. While lines are [always] too long, associates are generally friendly and try hard. I do get the vibe that returns might be tricky, though I could be mistaken. Overall, ROSES remains a good stop for budget-conscious shoppers. Just be mindful that while individual items are low, those low prices have a way of adding up quickly.
