They said a test to do this would be $200, bla bla bla. They then suggested that yes it was crazy, maybe try Roth Jewelers. When I called Roth I got someone who was helpful and knew what they were talking about, they said bring it in we'll tell you. The pearls were fake, but we ended up taking numerous vintage rings to them for resizing/fixing and they have been nothing but perfect every time. Resizing is generally about $55, they'll clean rings for free and give you an assessment for free (if its real, what stone is what). We had a wedding ring from the 1950s that was so worn the band looked uneven. They had to cut the band and redo that part, but the price was reasonable and the work flawless. I really believe they are the best jewelers in the area.

The tech gave me the standard response to blow a customer off - "my investigation leads me to believe its a driver issue, but HP is bad about... blah, blah, blah. One of the issues was clearly a hardware related issue it was limited to 1 key on the keyboard and it was intermittent, but would get worse with use. Not a driver issue. Within 2 days of calling the shop called me and told me it was ready and that it was a driver issue. When I picked it up and said, "The keyboard was a driver issue or did you clean it and find a dead bug in there?" He mumbled something about it working now. The cost was fair, even it was a driver and not a hardcore tear down and rebuild, but the one issue that may have been a driver issue (touch pad quits functioning ) failed again within the 1st hr of use and the 3rd issue was likely not looked into (Laptop camera cant be found by apps), so it doesnt work. All three issues were documented and printed out for the tech when I left the machine. Verdict - The charge was not outrageous, so if any one of the things had been fixed I would not have written this review. But nothing was fixed so here it is. Administratively, communication was poor, ticket documentation is very poor. I emailed the business and did not receive a response. The shop space did not inspire confidence either - I know tech people can be "messy desk motivated" but as a customer I would prefer to see the customer facing business squared away and locked down. If you have serious problem wiht your computer hardware, I would think twice before committng here. If your budget sensitive and the issue is "easy" then this might be a good choice. PS, I was ready to buy replacement hardware for the keyboard which would have run the revenue higher but like I said I dont think it was looked at.

When I returned the equipment, I was honest about the damage that had occurred and fully disclosed everything upfront. I was told they would assess the situation and follow up. Instead, weeks later, I received a bill for several thousand dollars with no prior communication, explanation, or courtesy call. When I called for clarification, I was given an explanation over the phone and asked to come in if I wanted to better understand the charges. Upon arriving, what should have been a simple customer service conversation quickly turned into one of the most hostile and arrogant business interactions I've ever experienced. During my discussion with the store manager, another employee--later identified as Josh Bresson, believed to be the owner's son--abruptly inserted himself into the conversation in an aggressive, rude, and confrontational manner. Despite my calm and respectful approach, he treated me as though I was there to deceive or attack them. His behavior was arrogant, hostile, and completely unacceptable. Over the following months, I was harassed with repeated billing attempts, excessive fees, rude messages, and eventually an unauthorized charge of several thousand dollars placed on my credit card without my approval. When confronted, Josh doubled down with threats, boasting that his contract was "bulletproof," that he had "never lost in court," and aggressively implied I had no chance of winning. Well, we went to court--and he lost. The judge ruled in my favor, confirming that the damages were in fact covered under the rental protection plan I had purchased from the beginning. This entire ordeal demonstrated a shocking level of dishonesty, intimidation tactics, and predatory business behavior. Rather than honoring their agreement, they attempted to bully and financially pressure a customer who had acted honestly from day one. I strongly caution anyone considering doing business here: read everything carefully, document every interaction, and be prepared for an experience that may be far more about intimidation than customer service. Professionalism, integrity, and ethical treatment of customers appear to be severely lacking here.
