Totally unprofessional service. I brought in two items to be laminated at 10:30 am. The person in the print department was talking to a friend across the counter and said I could leave them and they wouldn't be ready that day. That's 10.5 hours in the rest of the day they could perform this task, but the person behind the counter couldn't be bothered to do their job. I wanted until 11 am the next day and called. They kept looking for my items and said they couldn't be found. Finally after 10 minutes they said they would call when they were ready. It's been 5 more hours with no call. Huge fairly new store packed full of everything needed for office, school and personal business. Employees very friendly and helpful. I didn't use printing services, so I don't know about the review that said OD let them down with printing. This place has everything I need for my personal business. read more

I DON'T RECOMMEND I went in today for the first time to purchase some very common items, hanging folders and an air bottle (to clean computer). I couldn't find either item, though I did find file folders but not the hanging folders, and they should have been together. Even though I was wandering around the store obviously needing help, no one approached me, and at no time did anyone greet me. I did see three employees shucking and jiving and having a great conversation, but they were oblivious to me and other customers who needed assistance, including a couple of ladies who wanted to buy office furniture. Placed an order online and received notice that it had been completed and was ready for pickup. When I arrived at the store on my lunch break, two whole hours later, I found that my order was nowhere near ready, despite my previous notification of completion. In addition to this, the employees were unprofessionally dressed, seemed annoyed that I even wanted my order, and made excuses about why it wasn't ready instead of simply apologizing for the error. Huge disappointment. Purchased a Brother printer and printed less than 20 pages before "add toner" light came on. Went into store with toner cartridge in hand and explained situation. Was told to call Brother because it wasn't their problem and there was nothing they could do! I asked how much the cartridge cost - $89.99. Asked how many copies you should get from it - 2000. Ask if they do not provide customer service - no! Told me again to call Brother. Assured him I would and would NOT shop Office Depot any more. He said that was my choice. Print staff is quite possibly the most unprofessional, incompetent, and rude bunch of human beings I've seen. Girl actually tried to refer me to Kinkos..!! Really!? Companies of this size and stature should seriously pay more attention to the people they choose to represent their companies. read more

Do NOT use them for printing services!!!! I placed a simple "same day: copy order on a Monday and it was not completed until the next Sunday. I had to go in and call many times during the week to even get them to complete it. They kept giving me excuse after excuse as to why it was not done. Stay away! read more

Do Not use this store. I went in to print pages for a calendar and purchase a folder. I went to the printing desk and the lady seemed upset that I was even there. When I asked the price for printing color pages for my calendar, she replied $14.95. I asked again the cost of printing the pages of the months and she replied $14.95. I was never told what the cost per page for printing, only the total would be $14.96. I told her I would go across the street and get my printing done there. The lady seem very pleased that she would not have to do anything. Maybe my being there at 9:00 a.m. was simply too early. They just don't seem to enjoy their jobs and it is very noticeable. I went across the street to the UPS Store and service there was great, as usual. read more

Extremely slow and inattentive customer service. Went in to get something made into spiral bound because the machine in Jackson had been apparently down for two months. I called the Madison location to make sure it was operating and since they said yes, drove out and stood in line for at least 15 minutes (I was the only one in line) while the person behind the desk, though he saw me, continued to do his project behind the desk. Another worker was helping someone ahead of me with something else and I saw no sign of whoever it was he was working on the project for. Only when the line became 4 or 5 people deep did he look up and decide to ask what he might help me with. When I told him, he said that binding it would take forever because they were back ordered with the machine and that it would at least take all night (it was what was causing him to currently ignore customers apparently). What I needed binding I really needed to have when I left the store because I need a copy to work with at home at all times, but I decided to leave out a copy that I needed binding and wait for them to do it overnight leaving my name and number and instructions. Well it's noon today and still no call from them so I decide to call and apparently it's ready. Five bucks per copy certainly better be worth it. Thanks a lot Office Depot. read more

DO NOT rely on this place! I went in with a study book that I wanted a spiral binding on. They said they could do it while I waited. He started on the job and then, when other people walked in, he came over and said it would take at least an hour because he had other customers. If he had told me that BEFORE he started, I would have waited or gone someplace else. But I waited and waited while he fiddled with it and another girl fiddled with it and they finally got it done about 30 minutes later, which was horrible customer service. (I usually get this done in about 5 minutes at the FedEx in Madison, but their machine was broken.) The pages were uneven, too much had been cut off, leaving me to guess at some of the words on the left hand side of the page, and just in general, a sloppy job. But that's not the worst part! I am halfway through the study now, and the pages are now all out of order! And not only are they out of order, they were spiraled on the wrong side, so that now, when torn out, the spiral edge is on the outside of the book! There's no room to cut anymore off and rebind it, so I'm left with a book that I had to pull pages out of, replace in their right position, and they are just left hanging there with nothing to bind them to the book. How does this happen? This is unacceptable shoddiness and I will NEVER have anything done at this store ever again. Absolutely inexcusable! read more
