This is older style grocery store locally owned and apparently has an amazing beer fridge (son that…read moreis college aged). But what I have been wanting to try is their breakfast and lunch bar. I couldn't find the hours for the bar printed anywhere (6a-9:30a). I just assumed breakfast would be until ten. So made it at 9:35. Most of it had been taken away, but asked if I could still be served with what was left. Lots of looking left and right trying to decide. Finally said yes if I was ok with what was out. I had scrambled eggs bacon and a biscuit. It was very good. Not saying it would be as good as an atlanta breakfast place like Callie's hot little biscuit. But it was good and $2.45. Lunch (10:30 or 11a until they run out which apparently is between 2-3p). I had Lima beans black eyed peas and rice with a yeast roll (or cornbread or spicy cornbread). $5. It was good. Hot and hit the spot. Not amazing. But good. I would go back. I expected the staff to be nicer and friendly since they are locally owned and operated. However, the staff at the bar tend to be surly, while the check out staff are always friendly. Not sure if they hate their jobs and owners or just always having a bad day when I go.

In the back is a old school grocery store deli with homemade and fresh offerings. I love their fried chicken. If you want a home cooked meal for a great price then make your way to Cash Saver and go back to the deli. You wont be disappointed.

Before heading to the store, I see that I only paid around $120, which was weird because usually they are able to find some good substitutes for items that might not be available. Well, I had missed something on my order so I decided to go into the store to get it, and while I was there I also decided to look for substitutes myself since they had not provided them for me. Just so I'm clear, I'm pretty sure the pick up service they offer is literally so that you don't spend an hour at the grocery store and it's supposed to be a quick and easy process. For some reason, the workers and shoppers for the online pick up service seem to be blind, as I quite literally found every single item that I had been refunded for down to the specific brand that I ordered. For example, I ordered the 4 pack of nacho cheese quest protein chips. They were refunded as it seemed they were out of stock. I just picked up the same chips from the same store, and they're were multiple packs of quest chips available. Tell me how that makes the shopping process more efficient for the shopper. I literally spent an extra hour in the grocery store finding the items that I was refunded. Also, I don't like how the options the give you do replacements are not all of the options or any at all. I ordered beef sticks and there was no replacement made, but when going into the store, there were more brands of beef sticks than I even knew existed. I really I've had a good experience with Kroger, but this was pretty insane, felt like I was doing their job for them and a pretty shitty representation of how they treat they're customers and how much they care about customer service, because it seems like they don't give a shit. Maybe try investing in some spectacles so they can see items on peoples orders when they are right in front of them on the shelf.
