Sure, there are a couple really good artists that display, and sell, their art there, but the real genius to this place is the "Melrose Place" vibe you get. First, there are several people living there. They are supposed to be artists but are really just young, desperate girls, living cheaply. One is a Cam Girl for people with food fetishes. One reads cards and makes oils. Finally, one is supposed to be a photographer but I never saw a camera, just a bed in her small space. She was always quite moody, with an obnoxious voice, and many times would yell out to turn the lights off because she was sleeping....at 9am. The Management, Hans specifically, is a little shady in my opinion. They will vote people "off the island" if you disagree with them. Irina is nice enough but gets strong-armed by Hans. They have a contingent of non-Americans that do their best to keep things clean. The A/C doesn't cool and the kitchen smell like mold and sweaty corn-hole. The bathrooms are ok, especially if you are ok with pubes from the "shower" restroom. Ewwww The hair stylist, tattoo artist and toddler toy maker are all really great gals, with legitimate businesses. The rest are funny, and keep the drama level high. The property is definitely 420 friendly!

Once inside it feels like a very modern house. The floors are nicely finished wood panels. It's very clean and spread out with plenty of spacing. There are 2 rooms the main front room and a secondary back room. There is also a garden area but this day it was locked. The curator was awesome, she even made us copies of the price sheets to take home. The best part about this gallery is it allowed me to explore the homes in the area and they are the real pieces of art.

Since we seemed very interested she even allowed us to look around her office area and kitchen where there was some other pieces. Great lady who was very nice! The content here was something called Lenticular photographs mounted on aluminum by Begona Egurbide. This was nothing I had ever seen before. It was basically a collection of 10-20 photographs crafted so that from each different angle a different image was viewable and if you walked from side to side it told an amazing story through pictures.

I discovered them on YouTube through their "Viewing Room" and "Slideshow" videos. It's been really great being able to virtually "visit" an exhibition from the comfort of my home.
