Made a special trip down to the area for this store and according to their hours they're supposed to be open. Alas, 12:35pm on a Wednesday- closed. I work odd hours so I don't know if I will get back any time soon. However I did pay for 3 hours of parking so I looked elsewhere and headed back around 2:30pm. It's a small but packed store with lots of vintage on the racks. I am forever in search of a fun blouse or top and there were a few. LOVE this place. True old school vintage without crazy pretentious prices. I've seen gowns from the 40s-50s to old school Vegas sweatshirts and funky brooches, shoes, bags, etc. The inside is a whole collection of a lot of really rad, old items. A GEM! My partner and I have also gotten alterations here multiple times when no one else could fit us in, and we keep coming back - the service and turnaround time is great, along with the price and quality of the tailoring. We loooove this place, worth a stop when shopping downtown. read more

This is the thrift store/place you go to buy the stuff that they caught and bought from other thrift store places like goodwill, Salvation Army, etc. I guess I see the need for a place like this, but those prices were utterly ridiculous. Limited vintage or not, I can't see the draw of this place. I did like the selection, just the price tags were comical. read more

Off the Threads is a true gem located in the heart of the arts district here in Las Vegas. I have been shopping here for months now and it's my favorite store. This store really sparked the beginning of my love for vintage fashion. I have also had multiple pieces vintage & non vintage tailored here which turned out amazing. What keeps coming back is not only the great vintage finds but the great customer service. Linda the store owner and Linda the grandmother (and tailor) are so sweet, kind, welcoming, and helpful. Probably my favorite store in DTLV so far! We walked into this store, and found the cutest stuff. I found more stuff I wanted in here, than I have in any other store downtown. They have a variety from men's and women's wear, and even kid apparel. They vary from cute vintage vests, basketball tee's, and collectible magazines. The store owner was so helpful and nice too! I was able to find this pair of Evian earrings and I'm obsessed! I even got a pair of sunglasses ($12 or 2 for $20). There's something for everyone so I'll definitely be back! read more

Severely overpriced thrift store. But it brought us to the one that was just down a little bit further and way better so I'm thankful for that. They were trying to sell things for five dollars I could literally buy for a dollar somewhere else, new. My best friend and I looked through everything and ended up leaving with nothing. There's a reason for that- Start out on the way how things that look brand-new and price text that were shocking like good. Here's the thing about "vintage" I'm 50- I'm not going to pay more for something now that I could have bought new 20-30 years ago unless it's actually collectible, one of a kind, rare, autographed or something truly sentimental. The rest of it is just a rationalized way of making more money off stuff my parents or grandparents owned and now we have eBay for that. ‍ Not every store can be everyone's "cup of tea" I wish you well but I asked YELP for thrift stores and I think they brought me to your store??? I bought a vintage coat online and needed alterations when it came a few sizes too big. I did some research and saw that they could do vintage alternations here (a rare find). I met with Linda and Linda soon after that, they gave me a fitting and we're so nice and attentive. They saw things I didn't even see (a hidden hem!) and altered it beautifully to fit my body! They took just the right amount of fabric off. I'm so happy because I'm going to keep this coat forever! They were so sweet and really good at what they do. read more

This little shop is a hidden gem! It's just a few min walk away from all the excitement on Main St and totally worth venturing over there. They have a funky selection of custom & vintage clothing and AWESOME jewelry. I found some super cool earrings for my self but wanted to buy a few more of the same as gifts and the owner was great enough to order more and then let me know when they were in. Not only did Linda, the fabulous store owner and entrepreneur legend, welcome me with open arms...but so did her loving grandmother who ALSO does any alteration you need to any of your purchases. She turned a dress into a romper, She cropped shirts, she made shorts...EVERYTHING. Fit to exactly how you want. This store is truly magic. I still shop online here because it's that beautiful. Linda and her abuela were both so helpful with altering my dress! It is such a quaint little shop and I felt 100% comfortable talking to them, as opposed to other alteration shops where the average person who doesn't get every piece of clothing altered can feel a little out-of-place. Here, I felt so welcome and like I could actually breathe and have a casual conversation! My dress turned out beautifully for an amazing price, Linda's grandmother did such a wonderful job (way better than a more expensive, uppity shop I went to last year!). Linda y Linda! Off the Threads is such an amazing concept and store. I first saw them at a Downtown Market where they had a carefully curated booth of vintage; I found a great vintage Hawaiian dress and Linda let me know that her grandmother also provided an alterations service at their studio in the Arts Factory. Such a genius idea! I took a few vintage items I had that just didn't fit right; Linda Jr. was set up at Life is Beautiful selling that weekend but Abuela Linda was able to come in and take care of me which was so nice of them to do. Linda expertly pinned me in and took my clothes. Fairly priced and so lovely to work with, my 3 items were ready to pick up in a few days!
