Very good Fish & Chips served here. Actually, it was my first authentic British F&C. There were at least four types of fish on the menu board. I chose haddock which was crispy, nice and very good tasting perhaps not as flakey as cod.
I was amazed by an unreasonably large amount of chips in my take-out box even though it was "small" portion, and I couldn't finish it. I'd hate to see how much chips there would be for "large" size.
We ordered ahead, but we still waited for another 15 minutes before we picked up what we ordered (maybe an order of pizza was the cause of this little delay). I suppose I understand not wanting to keep take-out boxes under a warmer too long. As a result, both fish and chips were crispy when we reached home.
So, my very first authentic British fish & chips was successful. However, I believe I had just as good or even better experiences in the States. read more
