I felt SO supported throughout the whole wedding process because of Ashley's expertise, and even though we did her minimal day of coordination package instead of the full wedding planning package, she knew every detail of our wedding and executed it to a tee on our wedding day. Even though wedding planning was stressful leading up to the wedding, we weren't stressed at all on the wedding weekend knowing our wedding day was in Ashley's hands. I had a huge bridal party who all were willing to help but I knew I needed a point person who had experience! I enlisted Lavinna's help for day of coordinating. My venue rented by the hour, so it would have cost me about the same if I hired someone to do the set-up as it was to rent the venue for more hours and decorate ourselves. The trade-off was that I had to trust someone to do the set-up and even though I was able to pop in for literally five minutes, I would not see the final product until we were announced, long after our guests had arrived. Kind of freaked me out. I got Lavinna, who did it all for me. She and her team were amazing. She emailed me before the event to keep me on track for what she needed. The set-up was seamless and everything looked better than I could have hoped for. She kept us on track throughout the evening. Then they made clean-up look like a breeze. As a bride, the time is flying by, the stress is high and you have a ton of people pulling you in a hundred different directions. Although our wedding was beautiful, there were many disappointments we had from Angie at the…read moreBrookstom Creek Wedding Venue. We got married in July 2024, and emailed our disappointments to them 9 months after our wedding, as I had many sleepless nights ruminating over these things, clearly showing our thoughts were not a spur of the moment email. Bob and Angie neglected to take the time to be professional and respond. First of all, I asked for my bridal party to have all pink bouquets. They were mixed white and pink. Beautiful? Yes. What we asked for? Absolutely not. In addition, Angie did not make enough bouquets and my maid of honor offered her bouquet as the toss bouquet. Also, she did not make enough boutonnieres. She had to scramble last minute and make an extra for a groomsman, but the officiant never got one. My husband and I made a seating chart with our family's tables closest to the head table. It did not end up that way, and us along with our families were disappointed they weren't sitting the closest to us. In addition, guests were changing table numbers after the tables had already been labeled and no one stopped them. We had asked for the cutting cake to be taken away as soon as we cut it. That did not happen and guests came up and cut themselves a slice off of our cake. We had contracted hours of which we could be on the property and use it for. Before our contract time ended, Angie and her team were taking down decorations, indicating to guests that the event was over and it was time to leave. If you choose the all-inclusive package, be cautious and do your research of which vendors you choose. The DJ we chose was absolutely a drag, did not interact with guests, turned off the music when no one was dancing and did not make it an exciting or lively atmosphere. The photographer we chose was only a delight on the day of and was sorely unprofessional any other time we had to work with her. Lastly, Angie asked for tips of service. Last I checked, tips are for a job well done, and I don't feel like she did a job well enough to deserve a tip. If you require a tip, it should be in your contract, not asked for.
