An absolute ordeal in getting through with these folks. I don't know why this residential law firm is still in business seriously. We used this law firm to close a home, he never mentioned that I could shop around with different title companies to save money. One day before the closing, we found out that he selected Topnotch Title Services Inc without ever letting us know. Topnotch charged over $575 for settlement fee, and more than $150 to review the title insurance. I mean that is already on top of the 85% of the title premium proceeds they earned. After further investigation, we realized that Joseph chose this title company because his wife, Linda, owns the title insurance. Joseph insisted that all the fees are state regulated. Yes, we do know that the premium itself is state regulated, however, these agents also add hidden fees on the title. We felt betrayed by this attorney because he did not represent in our best financial interest. He did not serve as a faithful agent to us, the principals. On the day of closing, he marked up his billing fee from the originally agreed $1,100 to $1,340 without any clear explanation. When we confronted him, he had the audacity to put us on speaker so that everyone on the closing table would hear our dissatisfaction. This is an instance where he blatantly breach the client privilege. When we challenge him about the possible "conflict of interest" involved using his wife, and the "lack of due care" to help us, he then agreed to reduce $200 as a way to close the deal. We then agreed on the fee reduction to get the process going, his wife Linda all the sudden wanted to resign her role as the title closer because someone we have accused her of her relationship with Joseph. In the end, we had to pay her husband the extra $200 in order to continue the closing. It was the worst nightmare using this shady law practice and never would we be using them again because they are putting dollar signs before clients loyalty. read more

When I moved from CA to NJ to buy my house, I used his services. He's not like other lawyers that I have used in the past. With the others, they make me feel stupid for not knowing real estate jargon and the closing process, so that sometimes I feel like the other lawyers are taking advantage of me. But Joseph listens and makes me feel comfortable so I could ask him anything. And I ask a lot of questions. He goes over the little details clearly so that I don't have to worry about the whole process. Of course, everything went well and on schedule. I would definitely use him again. read more

Worst attorney ever. Makes the entire real estate closing process far more stressful than necessary by failing to do his job, then lying to all involved. Not once did the paperwork reflect the agreement reached between the buyer and seller. Stay away. read more

I had a terrible experience with this attorney from start to finish. He couldnt keep his various cases straight and constantly confused my transaction with others. He messed up my closing and it ended up taking all day. His wife/secretary misspelled my real estate attorney's email address to inform her of the closing, and, as a result, no one was able to do a walkthrough before closing. He refused to take responsibility for any of the problems he caused. This man can do no wrong in his own mind. He should not be an attorney and you should avoid him at all costs. read more
